LOL It's a good attempt ^-^
I think It's done in crayon and pencil?
May I suggest that you try pencil crayon (If you have any)
It shades like a pencil so It can have a very smooth look~
the light source in the picture... it wouldn't be a solid line... Maybe try dark in the corners and getting lighter as it goes into the white beam...
