I drew L (wif a lollipop!) in Art class and I rarely color my artwork since I have no coloring mediums except markers, crayons, (colored) pencils, and yeah -- worthless things to ruin my drawings with. So I avoid coloring and if I color I usually scan the picture and keep the original clean. @_@
