• Twas the day after Christmas
    And all through the town
    Little kids were found playing
    With toys all around.

Moms and dads were at home
Snug and warm in their chairs
    Drinking egg nog and cider
As they dreamed of warm air.

    The postman was busy
    With after Christmas mail
From those who were locked up
    In the local county jail.

    Old Santa was finished
    With this year ends trip
    As the elves celebrated
Cups of tea they did sip.

    Twas the day after Christmas
    And all through the town
    If one looked really hard
    Good cheer could be found.
