Jack the Ripper is one of the most famous serial killers in history.
Jack was thought to be well educated and possibly one of the nobility.
Dubbed 'Saucy Jack' by the media of the time he targeted prostitutes living in the Whitechaple area of London between 1888 and 1889.
He was responsible for at least 5 confirmed murders though over a dozen are also thought to have been perpetrated by him.
Jack was never caught and the police arriving at the scene sometimes missed him by minutes. - Date: 04/27/2008
