As the elf looked up, she saw something that had been nothing but a distant memory from her mother. It was a moon. That one little distant grey rock in the sky, it brought together a small collection of tears. She shook her head. She couldn't cry just yet. First she needed to get farther away. As she shook away her newly formed tears, she looked back for the last time, took a puff of her cigarette, the last from her old life, and whispered, "I'm coming. ."
