- ok, I don't have a lot of gold, so I was working with the bare basics, just about. I feel that it captures the mild eccentricities of the Mad Hatter as portrayed by various versions. I tried to stay away from the 1951 Disney version as much as possible. In the end, this was a sort of original version of the Mad Hatter and should have been treated as such. Next time, be less critical without recourse. Stop comparing it to previous works, and instead focus on the original work
