She practiced the art of wordplay, the serene face meant to encourage any speaker- but what did she gain from becoming as refined as money and diligent teachings could make her?
One look and none would listen to her. Spoken words far too familiar would reach her ears and render her to tears. Who she was didn’t matter- one look and word declared her utterly unacceptable due to what she was.
Her lips are sealed and she cries- yet, emotions concealed, she continues to try.
