Once, 3000 years ago, the collective ashes of the fallen warriors of time summoned forth from the heart of our world, the majestic phoenix. Sustaining itself off the ashes of great heroes, the phoenix patrolled the endless skies, changing the fates of those it crossed. Three millennium have passed and a rival phoenix emerged from a great volcano. <br />
<br />
The last warriors of mankind battle each other. Surrounding mounds of corpses provide the only safety from the ending conflict. Each phoenix appears on opposite ends of the horrific battlefield. The champions stare up with awe at their rewards for being alive. The great birds screech and fill the soldiers with a vigorous drive for one final assault. The opposing factions charge. The earth erupts around them and the skies separate. A dazzling light manifests in the center of the conflict and draws in everything on the battlefield.<br />
<br />
The dust begins to settle and a huddled figure slowly stands up, amidst a wasteland of blood and stone. A new creature graces the world with its presence. The wit and ignorance of wasteful man, mixed with the immortality and strength of the fabled phoenix. The universe becomes a little less stable.<br />
<br />
A great distance away, somewhere in the neighboring galaxy, a great evil awakens, feeling the pulse of energy coming from Earth. It sends out the great evil under its command. In droves they assault what little remains of civilization on our planet. Will the manifested result of our own evil and selfish acts ally itself with us, or will it be another enemy in what is most likely the end of this smothered chance at life in the endless void of fire and darkness.<br />
