• Since the beginning of time, it was often forgotten in the retelling of history, of great battles, and honorable sacrifices which came bound to every individual who proved themselves worthy of a title. Great songs were lost with the passing of time, and tales of admirable heroes crumbled to the earth alongside their statues, their names scattered into the wind.

When the earth was still young and Gods creation were just learning of the mysteries buried within the untarnished lands, the devil, Lucifer, out of his own hostilities, brought forth his army of the dark, to inflict upon his children, fear beyond ones greatest imagination. This army was made of nightmarish creatures, their skin as black as charcoal, and eyes were blood red, reflecting their hatred towards all of the world. He cursed the people of light with a terror that only reveals itself by the darkness of night.

The creatures of the day were gifted with immortality, their smooth complexions matching up to the glowing fairness of the white moon. They were the first and most important creation of God, bearing tall, slender figures, and blessed with earthbound radiance. The Lord had loved these people, and named them the race of elves, the army of hell proving to be no match against those of the pure hearted race.

Although it was almost unheard of for the elves to turn from their days of light, the devil had sometimes succeeded in corrupting a small number of the Lords people, spoiling them into greedy, selfish forms. Learning of this, the Lord had sent a ravaging storm to fall across the land, punishing those who had turned from him, taking away their grace, their immortality, and their gifts of the divine. From then on, as the elves passed through time, never aging, those who were punished began to grow old, and slowly wither away. The Lord had called them the race of men, and allowed them to follow their own paths in life, favoring those who lived their lives as sinless as possible.

Centuries passed, and the race of men lived on through generations, their kind becoming a mix of both good, and evil. Soon, a dark fog passed into their lands, and a prince born under the bloodline of evil ancestry was crowned ruler over the Southeastern grounds, ruling over his people with unspeakable methods of torture, and mass murder; his name was Vlad Dracul.

Unable to tolerate with his bloody reign any longer, the Saxons, his own people, rebelled against him, forming an army of thousands to march before his fortress with plans to overthrow him off of his throne. From this outbreak sprang forth an immediate war between the Saxons and the army of Dracul. The countless deaths of both innocent and impure men came as a result of this battle.

This confrontation lasted a great many days, the battle raging on from morning till dawn. Before long, the Saxons began to race ahead towards victory, causing the future for Dracul to grow dim. Desperate for a solution, he turned to the Devil for help and they came to an agreement. In exchange for the assistance of the Devil's dark army, Dracul would drink the Devil's blood, becoming not only the devil's eternal servant, but also a creature of the night, doomed to feed off the blood of the living. He would become the first vampire known to man kind.

Since then, an evil of great weight spread across the land in bloodshed, and as the earth darkened, the elves began to depart to safer, unknown lands, where they might once again find peace. They left the mortals to face the darkness alone, never to be seen in those parts again.

The years went on without the elves, and the many winters that had come and gone seemed to have taken with them, the hope of men. Vampires had increased in numbers, killing off families and villages as if they were livestock. The land was dying, and depression ate away at the faith in the Lord, faith being replaced by a toxic mixture of grief, anger, and fear. The church, a society of men who had dedicated their lives to the Lord, dispatched a group of five mortal guardians to defend the name of God, and protect the innocent. They were known as: Ciprian, the loyal, Gheorghe, the strong and tender of heart, Apostol, the brave master of song, Liviu of the sly and the beautiful, and Corneliu, the keeper of pride and greatness. These knights of the church were titled slayers, sworn to vanquish what is evil in the world and restore order back into the land.
