• This life was the worst. Plain and simple. People did not know the cool part, and I was mistreated at school. A loser, a weirdo. It was enough that I had to hide my powers, and watch out to make sure they did not slip, but another that people hated me.
Parents dead, miserable life. Yeah, I know what you are thinking; Why doesn't she just die or something? Because I do not want to die, to change life. What I am is quite cool.
In physical education, if I was not careful, I would use some of my inhumane speed, or my strength.
What I am, is a panther. I hide my ears and tail quite fine, I don't mind that part. But knowing that I cannot be like anyone else, if not all that enjoyable, is annoying. On the full moon, I am all human. My bleached white hair goes black, and my ears and tail go away. Untill sunrise, I am normal. No speed, or strength. A normal girl.
I got up in the morning, prepared for another day in hell. I got dressed, and grabbed a toast off the counter.
I hated that school. Besides the obvious, the classes were boring. I knew everything that the teachers taught, and I had two years left of this. So it was a long year, and it was only May.
I walked, and to my surprise the snow was finally gone. Tree's were full of leaves, the smeel of wood and life in the air. You could smell the dirt, the grass, and the tree's. You could smell the flowers, and the fresh fruit. An orchid fell from the apple tree I walked under, as more began to fall.
I heard someone walk behind me, and walked faster. The steps sped up, and so did I.
"Wait." A soft voice called, as the one who followed me ran to my face, and blocked my way. A guy with reddish brown hair, and red-green eyes. His face was long, and his eyes sparkled with the sun. He wore a green shirt with black pants. He looked at me while I stared at him.
"You have something in your hair." He smiled, as he took a leaf from my hair. His face was close to mine, so I leaned away a bit.
    "Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Hiroshima Kane Darkness." He said with a grin. "You are...?"
"Darkness Crimson Devil." I told him. He started to walk.
"Come with me. Which school do you go to?" He looked at least 15, like me.
"That one around the corner." I pointed at it. "Do you go to this one too?" I tried to hide my hope, and failed fast. He grinned.
"Yes. Though, the classes will be boring." He told me, as we entered the school. "How is your life in here?" He asked me. No one had yet arrived, so we talked alone.
"Terrible. I am shunned and people hate me. No one talks to me, and they call me a loser." I frowned.
"You don't look like a loser to me." He said, and fixed a lock of my hair that was escaping. My heart reacted to his closeness.
"Thanks." I said, as we entered the building. The others were coming in now, So I helped him around. I showed him the office and waited while he got his sceduel. He was new here, he had said before he went in. He came back out with his sceduel and he had the same classes as me. His eyes lit up when I said that, but I had no idea why.
So we went off into math class, and all the seats were filled, as Hiroshi went to the teacher to say he was new and all that s**t. The teacher told him to take any seat, and he came to sit next to me. He grinned as the teacher started the course.
A note was on my desk. It was from Hiroshi.

    Crimson,
Do you hate this class? I find it boring because I know this stuff. There is something I have to tell, to show you later at lunch. When is that, by the way? I'm bored dead.
    Hiroshi.

I wrote back, and sent it to him. A different one landed on my desk, and I unfolded it. It was from Kayla.

    Crimson,
Don't try to get with the new guy. You are way out of your league. If you do, I will get my daddy to kick you out of your house. You could not even get a boyfriend even if you paid them. Oh, wait, your too poor. My daddy will kick you out of your house, and you will have no place to go.
    Kayla.

I looked at her, and she smiled a evil smile. I grinned back. She had given me evidence of a threat if her father would kick me out of my appartment, I would go to the police.
Hiroshi looked at me with curiosity, but I shook my head.
Math class went by, with not another note. It seemed long, as Hiroshi kept glancing at me from the corner of his eye, and smiling every time. Nut soon, it was lunch, and I got my lunch from my locker, with Hiroshi following me.
"Come, I want to talk to you alone." He took my hand, and gestured to the stairs that led to the back of the school, where no one went. Kayla blocked our way.
"Crimson, get lost. Hiroshi, no one is allowed back there."
"Kayla, go shoot yourself in the foot." I told her. She ignored me.
"Hiroshi," She started, taking his hand and pulling him in the other direction. "Don't hang out with a loser like her, she is a nobody, another unwanted person in the world. Hang out with me." She put alot of emphasis into that last word, and I ground my teeth together. I will kill her... Even if I have to... I thought. Hiroshi let go of my hand to get Kayla to let go of his.
"No thank-you. I said I will hang out with Crimson, and I do not go back on my word." He said this firmly, and she looked at him, eyes raging.
"I will never forget that. Watch yourself, I will never forget that!" She stormed off.
"Come. He took my hand again, and led me to the far end of the grounds. I sat down, and was deciding on what to say.
"Okay, Hiroshi, what is it you wish to say?" I asked.
"Okay, this might sound weird, but believe me, please." He sighed, and sat down, back leaning on my back, head against my head. I blushed, hoping he could not see that.
"Listen, what do you hear, blush-girl." I could hear a smile in his voice.
    "Ummm, birds." I asked, confused.
"Listen closer. Now what do you hear?"
Someone talking. Exept it was only the two of us, and it sounded like him. I was stunned.
'Crimson,' It said. 'You are hearing my mind. I hear yours and you hear mine. Our minds are linked by what we are. Half breeds. I know, this might sound freaked out, but it is true. And I must confess something to you, but it is not easy.'
"Okay. I hear your mind, what do yo want to tell me?" I asked him, using my voice.
"Use your mind." He whispered. "And close your eyes."
I did so, and asked again. 'What is it you want to say?' I asked again.
    'Crimson...' He hesitated.
'Yes?' I was curious! He was slow with this.
'Crimson. I am in love with you.' He told me. I froze, shocked. Someone like me, a half breed whom I just now met, loved me.
    "Open you eyes." He whispered.
I complied, and his face was inches from mine again.
"Uhhh... Crimson... I-" He did not finish, I did not let him.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed him. It seemed as if this was what he wanted to do, for I heard him think it. He kissed me back, and soon we had no more air. We broke off, gasping. The intensity had knocked out our breath.
    "Sure." I winked.
