• Dear Satan,

I know you are the scourge of the earth and a hazard to all man kind. You have waged war with every heavenly host and with Gods children. Your evil ways have led many astray, but I would like to explain something to you:

We all fall short of the glory of God. Even you are not exempt from such a fact. In our life, God teaches us much, and it is not always through famous sayings, or good quotes. He shows us through war- war of mind, war of body, war of heart and war of character. Without an enemy like you, I would learn nothing. You are the mountain that stands on my way to righteousness. You are the splinter in my foot, trying to hinder me from walking my path with God. You are the voice that says I cannot fulfill God’s promises in my life. You tell me that every gift and blessing in my life is worthless but most of all, you tell me I can never change these. You tell me to accept these as fact.

It is because of this that I am stronger. I am constantly pitted against an enemy such as you and it makes me as strong as any angel. If anything, you have shown me that God’s hand is stronger than any circumstance and that his intentions are for me to better myself, in the shade of every mountain I face.

Where you showed me the death of my grandfather, and all the time I had not spent with him and the hole in my heart that could not be filled, God showed me how to achieve peace; a peace I can show and teach to others. Where you showed me imperfection is what I was, God showed me a finely tuned person, made for his purpose to love others. I trued do not believe that you can come to good conclusions without seeing the both sides of the coin. You are the side of the coin covered in darkness, my friend.

So thank you Satan for showing me that even the most horrid of beings can still be used by God to make this world a place of peace and love. Thank you for doing your part.

    Forever your adversary,
