• There is a reason why everything hapens, but none of us can ever stop it. It's a tough time that way, but thats the way it goes.

Back when it was a disgrace to be seen out in public with your lover if you were not married, there were many hard rules, reasons, and punishments.
There lived a couple, who were breaking the law. They always claimed to be two friends just killing time. Back then, women had no rights, I'll add.
Some thought they were more, but they could never tell.
They lived with their own parents, both of them on the edge of the age of adulthood. As soon as that would happen, they planned to run off to the new country, the one people called Canada.
But, the girl's parents were arranging her marage behind her back, with a man of whom she would never love. He was rich, and offering high prices to marry her. She was the most beautiful woman in the village. She was being sold, so her parents would be out of poverty. They were dieing to survive.
She found the papers one night on the table, as there was a knock on the door for her parents. The man they had chosen, named Tsuyama, walked and took her hand. He smelled of roadkill and dead fish. She pulled her hand away, demanding who this foul man was.
She figured it out, that she were to be married, remembering the paper. Outraged, she pushed the man to the flor, running out of the house within moments. she ran, only stopping once she got to her lover's house. He was in his backyard, named Hokishi, and was startled at her presence.
She insisted that they were to run to Canada, for she would be married as the sun dawned within a week. Realising this, Hokishi ran with her a bit, headed for the docks, where a boat lay in the harbour.
They had forgotten to be careful in public, and a night watchman saw them, he being the one of whom had bee suspicious of their relationship. He went off to get some help, and more mere humans saw them run together. A mob formed, and they could go no longer.
The watchman arrived, and took her away.
Furious, Hokishi ran after them, grabbing a nearby watchman's gun out of his pocket. He was an exellent pickpocket.
Hokishi shot the man holding his love, and froze, realising what he had done. Backing up away from the bleeding man's body, he stumbled and fell, langing in waters.
Hokishi could not swim, and therefore was drowning.
No one went off to rescue him, and the girl was afraid of water.
So she watched her love die, idly wishing that she would see him again.
He sunk to the bottom of the waters, as she turned and ran straight into Tsuyama.
He smiled an evil smile, saying that she was finally his, the pretty maiden, and he would be the envy of all of mankind.
She wanted none of this man, that smelled so bad she wanted to throw up. She took a mobman's torch, and set one of the boats on fire. She ran onto the ship, saying if her love were to die, so would she.
Before she died, she kissed her hand, and placed it on the water's surface, after it had swelled near the woman's throat.
    She whispered.
"I live for my love, I die for my love. Women have the right, let it show. I will die, to save whomever. I love you, my dear Hokishi."
    The girl's name was Eila.
