• 2020:
“Retreat! Get the hell out of here!” shouted Colonel Blake to the soldiers in the front lines. The forward most defense post in New Jersey was falling to the enemy. Bullets screeched through the air thirsty for the blood of the soldiers. The forward trench was being overrun by the enemy. Soldiers, clamoring to get out of the trench, were caught off-guard and killed or dragged away. Fires erupted out all around the battle field. Colonel Blake was running for his dear life to the lower defense trench; as he approached, he could hear booming across the battle field the signature phrase the enemy used… “Humans, Surrender now and join the great collective… there is no use struggling.” Colonel Blake felt his face grow cold as he saw the number of soldiers that have survived the assaults. “Sergeant! Is this all that survives of our army?!” shouted Blake dismayed at the scruffy force of 30 soldiers.
“Aye, colonel! We were hit hard on the northern front… we’ve heard nothing of the south-eastern, front sir!” shouted back the dirt and blood covered soldier.
“Bloody hell!” shouted Colonel Blake as a huge explosion erupted in front of the trench spraying everyone with clogs of dirt. Blake sprinted into the trench just before another explosion erupted.
“Alright! Form a good line of defense! We can’t let these cyborgs pass! If we do then all of New Jersey is lost!” shouted Colonel Blake panting some.
Over the next nine hours the small band of 31 soldiers held off the invasion force of cyborgs numbering in the millions. Many times they engaged in hand to hand combat with the cyborgs using bayonets to fend them off.
“Colonel Blake! We’re out of ammunition!” shouted Major Dillon after emptying his final clip from his gun. Blake felt fear settle in for the first time as he realized they would all die here.

“Ri…right… men get whatever grenades you have and be ready to pull them… we’re going to charge these bloody things and take out as many as we can! Oorah!” shouted Blake as he got an “Oorah!” in response from the soldiers. All 31 soldiers ran at the front line of cyborgs smashing them with their guns and throwing grenades. All 31 soldiers died within three minutes of the charge, but they took a total of 200,000 cyborg soldiers combined.

Humans are becoming extinct in this war… They are being pushed further into their last lines of defense. Europe and Africa have fallen to the Cyborg invasion. Asia and the America’s are fighting for their dear lives as they are slowly crushed under the weight of the cyborg forces. The scientist that made the Cyborg race now works with the United Coalition of America in an attempt to stop these cyborgs that he created… his one dream of bridging the gap between man and machine has become his worst nightmare. Guns are too ineffective against the Cyborgs… the Coalition is attempting to make a plasma based weaponry to combat these cyborgs. While the Asian Alliance takes more drastic measure by using chemicals that destroy all organic life it touches… Man was becoming desperate.

    2040:
“hope is slim…even if this assault works.” Said General Gaid pensively scratching his white scruffy beard.
“I tend to agree… but we have no other hope… we need that starship they’re building… it will give us a huge tactical advantage,” said Hegemon Dirsen hunched over a holographic map of a shipyard in what use to be eastern UCA. General Gaid nodded in apprehensive agreement looking thoroughly at the amount of troops the Cyborgs have stationed.
“It seems they have over 500,000 troops there… and well defended as well… how are we to attack them? And with what troops?” asked General Gaid shooting a doubting glance at Hegemon Dirsen.
Dirsen sighs heavily while scratching his forehead, “I… believe it’s time to show the Cyborgs our super-soldiers… give them a taste of pure human ingenuity…” said Dirsen staring at Gaid who stiffened at the mention of super-soldiers.
“Sir… they aren’t field tested… who knows what the outcome will be like!” shouted Gaid furious at the Hegemon for mentioning this idea of his. The Hegemony grabs Gaid and punches him right in the face causing him to fly against the room and smack the back wall.
“Now you listen here and listen good… this might be our last chance to save humanity... it’s rumored that the ship has stockpiles of nuclear fusion bombs! Bombs that they plan to use to crush us!” boomed the Hegemon furious at Gaid’s ignorance.

After decades of absolute defeat the Coalition was going to do one last assault on the Cyborgs hoping that this one show of absolute force would show the Cyborgs that they are still a race not to be trifled with. With Asia falling and the human population down to only 900 million they had to act quickly. With a small army of 1,000 genetically and technologically enhanced humans they began to put their plans in motion… with their normal armies causing mass distractions around the battlegrounds, they hoped to force the Cyborgs to pull forces from their shipyard to assist in the fighting.

*SIR! THEY ARE PULLING OVER 300,000 TROOPS FROM THEIR SHIPYARD… THE PLAN IS WORKING!* the soldier’s static filled transmission filled the Hegemony compound with high hopes as the plans to capture the new starship were put into effect. *STEALTH VENOM CONVOY YOU ARE CLEARED TO LAUNCH! GOOD HUNTING!* shouted the air traffic controller to the stealth shuttle which suddenly erupted in a blaze of red light as it lifted off… The black stream-lined shuttle moved swiftly and silently towards the shipyard.
“I wonder how many Cy’s I get to kill!” boomed Zen flashing fangs of teeth as his optical eye scans his weapon to make sure it’s clean. The Super-soldiers are 7 foot tall with long scruffy hair and fangs for teeth. They are three times stronger than a usual man and have an average IQ of 200. They are truly perfect killing machines.
As the Stealth Venom Convoy roared over the shipyard they pounded it with missiles and a hail of gun fire. Troops flying into the fray using jetpacks; as they land they charge the cyborg troops with their guns blaring away and their fangs showing. 100,000 troops come to meet them while another 100,000 stay with the ship and payload. “Squad Beta… bunker down and provide cover fire!” grunted out Colonel Dirk into his radio while bashing a Cyborgs skull in with his gun. Running quickly Colonel Dirk jumped off of a burning tank and landed into a group of 50 Cyborg soldiers. With them disgruntled he quickly swung out his dagger smashing a Cyborgs jaw to shreds with the immense impact. One of the Cyborgs now on his feet swings a small sword from his arm implant and charges a preoccupied Colonel Dirk; swinging with all his might the Cyborg cuts a large gash across Dirk’s back. Dirk howls out in pain while swinging himself around and grabbing his attacker by the head and twisting his head off as blood and lubricant sprays everything. Blind with fury and pain Dirk takes down the remaining Cyborgs with his bare hands and teeth.
*POSITION ALPHA HAS BEEN COMPROMISED!* *HOLD STEADFAST! WE CAN WIN! WE HAVE THE SUPIRIOR STRENGTH AND HONOR!* *POSITION BETA IS UNDER HEAVY ASSAULT!*
soldiers bolting left and right as they get shelled by the Cyborgs. Knowing they are outnumbered doesn’t bother them at all. For they have the upper hand for the simple reason that they have honor and are fighting to protect their people.
Dirk stands panting as 50 Cyborg soldiers lay strewn across around him all in 2 or more pieces. He stares at Squad Zeta as they circle around the main Cyborg force and start blasting away at their flank While Squad Omega attacks them from their side causing the main force to split making them easy killing. Staring off to find Squad Beta he discovers they are being overrun on the western flank. Sprinting over dead turrets and tanks Dirk runs to Squad Beta and takes charge “Lieutenant! Hand me that dead soldier’s gun!” Barks Dirk as the Lieutenant throws a bloodied and dented Storm Assault rifle to Dirk who catches it in mid jump and begins blasting away at the Cyborgs making sure this beachhead is kept.
After five hours of intense and bloody fighting the Assault army reaches the central complex where they overwhelm the Defense batteries. After securing the defense Batteries they use the batteries to bombard the remaining Cyborgs…
    10 hours later:
The Assault Army storms into the complex screaming and shouting as they tackle Cyborgs and tear them to shreds with their claws. The Cyborgs realizing it is not logical to continue fighting begin to retreat before they are cut off by half of the Assault Army that has built a trench line to cut off exit… The Cyborgs seeing no other way out charge both the trench line and the ship in an attempt to kill as many as they can and to damage the ship… The charge on the ship is swiftly stopped by a small group of Soldiers hiding to ambush the charging Cyborgs.
    Aftermath:
In the aftermath of the battle over 400 Super-soldiers are killed while all of the Cyborgs are destroyed beyond fixing. Over 300 Super-soldiers are wounded and 100 are M.I.A. Colonel Dirk is one of the few surviving officers in the army.
*MR. HEGEMON THIS IS COLONEL DIRK OF THE ASSAULT ARMY… WE HAVE SECURED THE SHIP AND PAYLOAD… SHE’S ALL READY TO GO SIR!*
Colonel Dirk’s words sent waves of shouting and joy throughout the Hegemon compound. “I’m glad to hear that Colonel… I want you to get that ship into space and get the payload loaded up and ready to be fired at the following coordinates.” Said Hegemon Dirsen with tears of joy streaming down his face.
As the Starship rose into a low orbit it launched over 100 fusion bombs upon designated Cyborg strongholds across the world. The light was so intense that it lighted up the night skies for hours and bathed the starship in light.
“As the war for survival draws to a close thanks to the courage of the Hegemony army we are all reminded what drastic measures it took to finally defeat the Cyborgs… the death toll for humanity is well beyond 7 billion. “
As the news playing lightly in the background in the shuttle the Hegemon stares out into the desolate Cyborg territories. Slowly the Shuttle lands on a flattish territory… The Hegemon steps on the ground and it seems as if his boots are sizzling on the ground. He casts his gaze upon dead machines and dying cyborgs. A long drawn out sigh escapes his lips as he starts weeping for the war is over… humanity has survived!
