Mr. Nameless and Miss Lotto had argeed to this contract and soon sent countless pictures and letters to each other. It was almost the third week and they would soon find out who the other was after the second week.
    ---
Nathan slipped a folded piece of paper into a book and placed it into the bookcase before leaving the library. Miss Lotto's latest letter in his hands.

    Dear Mr. Namless,
It's already been a day after your last picture, so I will give you a hint now for you patience. I am your age as you have already concluded. I'm usually too quiet for my own good, but I am always writing or reading.

Nathan smiled as he tried to figure out who in his class would be so shy. There were quite a few girls and one of them was Iris. But would Iris actually agree to this game? "I'll just let this game go on until the third week...." Deep down he felt like it was her....

Miss Lotto had given him hints of herself being shy, quiet, a writer, and someone who didn't seem to fit her real name. It all seemed to lead him to Iris. Nathan frowned and glanced at the latest letter, "...I can't keep my hopes up. I need to wait it out before I make another mistake...."

    -----------------------------------------

Iris stared at the latest art piece that Mr. Nameless had left her. It was beautiful. The green house that belonged to the environmental science class was full of beautiful flowers of orange, red, purple, white, blue, and so many colors. "Beautiful Flowers, this picture shows the most beautiful of all places...." She thought a moment as she tried to remember who would stay in the green house.

There was that odd boy Matthew, but he was more likely to kill the flowers. Than Bruce or James....But than again, weren't they responsible for breaking a lot of the glass? "So that leaves Nathan or Seth...." She wasn't sure. Nathan would hang out for the beautiful scenery, but Seth was always there. "What if it isn't Nathan...No! I shouldn't think that!! I need to focus! I can't draw conclusions yet!"

Iris stared at the other pictures of Mr. Nameless and smiled a bit. Each one held a feeling of passion for art that made her see the beauty of every small detail. One had a small cat that yawned showing that the artist was a cat person and another was one of a paint brush painting a globe showing that Mr. Nameless wanted to be a well known world artist. Iris blushed thinking of Mr. Nameless. Was she really falling for him?

She grabbed her paper and pen and wrote.

    ------------

    Dear Mr. Nameless,
What a pretty picture you have drawn for me the other day. But here's something I want to ask you....What is your favorite flower?

Nathan frowned at this letter and sighed, flower? Why on earth would she ask him this question?! "If I draw out an iris...Wouldn't that make this Miss Lotto know who I like?" Nathan sighed and glared as he felt eyes bore holes into his head, "What Seth?" His friend smiled as he came over, "Hey man. What's up?"
"I'm busy...." Seth frowned and ran a hand through his long red hair, "Oh really? I haven't seen you drawing that much and you've been reading these letters...."
"It's something private. None of your concern," Nathan replied and glanced over to see Iris slipping into the classroom. He hid the letter he was staring at, but wasn't quick enough to stop Seth.

    ----------------------

Iris handed the note from her science teacher to the math teacher, "It's an iris." She flinched and glanced over to see Seth and Nathan, "It's a definite iris. Iris is my favorite flower." She blushed seeing the note in his hand, no way.....

    ------------------------------------

"You're a jerk!" Nathan yelled as he and Seth left their class, "You have no right to do that it was my letter!"
"Ah come on!" Seth smiled and patted Nathan on the shoulder, "I'm sorry if that upset you, but I was curious. So why did you get a letter asking about your favorite flower?" Nathan glared and looked away, "Aw...The silent treatment huh?"
"Um.....E-Excuse me..." Nathan stopped and saw Iris standing in front of them, "Uh..S-Seth right?" His readhead friend nodded, "Oh yeah! You're Iris right? You're the secretary of our class. What's up?"
"Um....W-Will you...." Nathan watched as Iris blushed darkly and felt his heart break, what was she doing?! Why was she staring at his friend and not him?! "May you go out with me?!"

Iris's words made his heart shatter into a million pieces.
