• The ground shook beneath me. There wasn't much time for us to hang out and go out on dates. Why would he do this to me? Why not tell me before now? This was just too much. I had to stop and think.

Shadows suddenly replaced the light in the room. The space erupted and filled to bursting with screams. There were shouts of unintelligable origin.

    "UFO!!" "The world is ending!"

The confusion was loud and all-consuming. Andrew and I looked out the window, merely curious. They were right. There was a very large spacecraft resembling the Star Trek Enterprise above the white hall that our grad party was in. This was indeed very strange.

All of these events happening so close together got me to thinking that maybe I was having a nightmare.

    "Andrew..." I said quietly.

    "Huh?" He responded.

"Can you pinch me please?" I breathed, a little put off by what my eyes were showing me.

"Sure." And he did. Hard. Right on the tender part of my arm. The pain was so intense that I knew that I wasn't dreaming.

"Holy Mary, Mother of God." I whispered. This was so weird.

"What is going on here? This wasn't in the party planning was it?" he queried.

"Hell no! Why would we do this? This is the stupidest prank that I have ever seen!" I was suddenly furious. A green glow now pushed the shadows into the corner, making the eery even more eerier.

"Umm, I'm not so sure we should stay hun. I am going to leave." I said, grabbing his hand. I may look tough, but inside, I am still just a scared little girl.

"Yep. Right behind ya sweetcheeks. Lead the way." He responded. We made a quick escape outside the door, heading towards his SUV. I felt lighter every step of the way, until i realized that I was floating. I screamed and grabbed for his belt. He came up with me.

"Andrew!" was the last thing I said before the world went dark.

    ****** ****** ******

I woke up with a pounding headache. Groaning, I sat up. "Andrew? Darling, Where are you?" I couldn't see him. I couldn't see much in fact. Four drab walls and a locked door. That was it.

Footsteps sounded outside the door, making by head pound even more than it was before.

The door opened, letting in a flood of light.
