• Ah, death seemed so pleasant, maybe too pleasant...but he didn't mind, he had fought for what he knew worthy and lived rightfully...maybe at the end he did something wrong so he knew not if God would pĆ¹nish him at all.
He felt something tickling his face and the white light turned dark and cold as his eyes began to transmit images again...
'What? where am I?' Philip began scanning the room and what was...was that a tounge that tickled him? He was startled at first, thinking it was someone else, but then realized that it had too much fur on it to be human, a long snout...big ears...a dog.
The room wasn't too big, but it wasnt small either, and in the darkness he couldn't distinguish too much, but it seemed to be well furnished and comfortable...at least the bed was cozy, but was hard as if it was on the floor.

A sudden wall slided sideways and Philip faked to keep on being asleep. He heard steps around the room and felt he was being observed...and again the same licking on his face, and yet this time a female voice arose:
"Leave him alone, boy...c'mon, lets get ya somethin' to eat.." and the dog left his face to go with his owner or master...whatever she was...
As he heard them leaving, he took a quick glimps of the two figures...a brown haired woman, short of size and seemed to be thin, fair skinned and delicate hands...as for the dog, wasn't that the same dog that had been there at the moment of his death?
Now this was confusing him very much, and with the short light left he go a very short sight of the room. Though there was alot of furniture, it was old and tired with time...there was some clothes hanging from the cieling and a big mirror on the wall in front of him...
it looked very humble to him...but made it a more akward sensation of oddness in his mind...and kept asking himself where the hell did he end up...

For the next few days he kept faking his state of coma, to the fact that he still had the deep wound between the ribs and couldn't move much, barely to pat the dog whenever the girl wasn't around, or that he thought because she didn't seem old...
He wasn't fed, but he wasn't hungry due to the serum he had connected up to him.
how many day's had passed since he "died"? Well, the only way of knowing was to talk with his caretaker, but he feared his not knowing what he was up against...
Finally, one day he spoke to her when she was leaving.
    "Who are you?"
And she stopped, but didn't turn around nor answer...maybe shocked, he couldn't know...
Philip heard her mumble something and she moved out of the room...
No answer...that was something quite unexpected...
The next time she came back, she came with a small meal and sat beside him. Philip looked at her, inquireingly...she was pretty, and had lovely eyes, but poorly dressed. He became sad at this sight, knowing that his savior barely could maintain him and herself...
"do you have a name?" Philip asked her...She jus nodded but said nothing; fear and amazement he could see in her eyes.
"Do you live alone?" he asked yet another question, with the same response as before...
He wanted to ask her what happened and tried to sit up...but pain surged in his side and he winced...
"don't move yet, your wound isn't ready.." she suddenly spoke, as she grabbed him and layed him back down...
"So you do speak..." Philip said...and she smiled...
    "I'm sorry, i'm a bit shy..."
Phillip nodded and yet another question came to his head...
"How do you know about injuries?"
She looked at him with shocked eyes and turned away for a moment...and heard her sobbing...
    "oh...i'm sorry...i didn't mean to..."
"No, it's ok...it's jus that, I studied nursery and then got kicked out for something I never did, and haven't been able to find a stable job since..."
He felt really bad, not jus cuz his side hurt, but because there before him was someone who needed his help, and he could do nothing...and she was helping him back...He deeply regreted having asked her about it and thought about her for a while...

As the days passed, he got better and learned about her and who she really was...
She already knew alot about him...and that was the main reason she'd saved him from the streets. Paula, as he later found out her name was, had come from latin american country to study. She was blamed for something a classmate did, and she covered her up, but got nothing but pain in return. She had always admired him for doing things for his country, and yet ask for nothing in return, but accepted the gifts they gave him...

He found out that nobody knew where he was and had gone missing for close to 3 months...in which the country had gone into a state of criminal caos...
But Philip wanted nothing of it...he hated his older life...who he was...how they betrayed him...He told this to Paula, how he had almost died and why he was left in such state...Her surprise can't be described with words...
"I gotta go back...but not as who I was...I gotta end this trial, and fix the mess Audry has left in my life..." he said as he pat the dog...
    "Don't go...please don't leave me! I mean...us...you dont know what will happen..."
Philip looked at her, in to her taming eyes...he was begining to like her for how she was and how she thought...
"I'll be back for you...i promise..."
He got the equipment he had left and put on his suit...it was getting dark outside...
He walked to the door, but turned back to her and hugged her...
"thank you...very much...a good turn certainly deserves another...i'll be back" and kissed her...vanishing into the darkness...
