• BANG!
Her head hit the cement wall, and tears mixed with the already fallen tears. "Please, stop!" she cried.
    "Where is she?" he demanded.
"Who?" her sobs hardly affected her voice.
"This girl." He held up a picture of a pretty girl with black hair, violet eyes with gold flecks, and pale skin. There was one thing wrong with her. There wasn't a smile. Her face looked like a ghost of a once happy girl.
    "I don't know her."
"Too bad." he leaned in for the kill.
"I've seen her!" the girl screamed.
"I thought you didn't know her." he pulled back.
"I don't, but I've seen her at the book store!"
"Buying what book!?" he demanded baring his fangs.
"A vampire novel!" the girl sobbed as his breath wafted its way toward her ruby, red nose.
"Thank you." he leaned toward her once again.
"Won't you let me live?" she asked.
"No," and he bit. Her screams still in his mind even when they had stopped.

    ************************************

Arachna walked to her closet. "What shall i wear today? Black, black, or black? I pick black." she smiled lightly at her own joke, but it was gone too fast for anyone, but her to know it was even there.
She ended up wearing a black, sleeveless corset. Then she put on some black, skinny jeans with black Doc Martens over them. Her make up was so dark it brought out the gold flacks in her eyes. She even added some dark blue streaks to her raven-black hair.
Arachna grabbed her school bag, and went downstairs.
There was mom in her pink sundress, and making some blueberry pancakes. "Hey, sweetheart." mom said.
    "Hmm." Arachna acknowledged.
"Well, that's better than nothing." mom said with a sweet smile with feeling.
    "Sure."
"Whoa! Marie, call the hospital!" dad called as he entered the kitchen. "We got a word!"
"Here's two: Shut. Up." Arachna said with a sickly sweet voice.
Her dad's smile almost cracked, but he held it up just like plaster.
Arachna got up, and threw her black sunglasses on. "Bye."
"Where are you going?" her mom asked, it was a Saturday.
"The book store, or the library." Arachna said.
"Be home by--" the rest of the request was drowned out by Arachna slamming the door on her mother's smiling face.
Arachna jumped into her black dodge truck, and turned up Evanescence, her favorite singer. The song that happened to be on was Going Under.
Arachna reached the library in about ten minutes. She slammed the door, and slung her bag over her shoulder.
When she walked in her sunglasses came off to reveal her mystical eyes, that made one guy, new in town, pause as he passed.
"Hey, I'm Brice." he grinned with his sporty tan.
Arachna walked around him in a circle. "Tan, spiky, brownish blond hair, tank-top, shorts, flip flops." she listed all of his flaws, but he must have thought the wrong thing.
"I just came from the beach." his grin got flirty.
"I don't like you." Arachna said bluntly.
    "Wha--"
"I know your type. You look for the hottest chick around to show her off, then you dump her for the new big thing that just happens to be two hours after you met. So, in conclusion I don't like you." Arachna walked away after that, she headed towards the horror genre.
Arachna left with two books on vampires that happened to be scary.
When she reached the bookstore she marched in, and headed to where she knew good, scary books were.
There was already a guy there. "Move." Arachna said with a glare.
The man turned around, his black eyes flashing red, but he stopped when he saw Arachna. "Hello."
"Hi, bye." she turned and headed towards the other half of horrors.
The guy followed her, and she swerved around to bring on a full on glare. "What do you want?" she demanded.
    "To talk."
    "Well, you got your wish."
"What is your name?" he asked.
    "Arachna." she said reluctantly.
    "I am James."
    "No,"
    His eyebrows raised.
"You're weird." she finished with a sneer. And she walked towards the books . . . . once again.
He stood there in shock, and Arachna should have smiled at the victory, and she almost did, but it was too weird for a smile.
Arachna looked at the books for a few minutes then she grabbed one.
"Interview with a Vampire, nice." the guy said.
"I have every single one, except for this one. I've been watching out for it for months." wait a minute. She knew that voice. Arachna looked up. "And idiot is talking to me. Huh. That's new." then she walked to the cashier.
When she had paid she went to her car.
The guy was by her window. "Oh gosh!" Arachna jumped.
"Did I scare you?" now he smiled.
    "No, you're really fast."
"I know." he turned around, thought about it, and turned back around. "Oh, and Arachna?"
    "What?" she snarled.
"Don't go out after dark." he grinned with fangs. Fangs!
