• "Yes, it's true..."

The words hung in the air like a foul atmosphere and every syllable seemed like a jab to the chest for Vivianna Morretti. The emotions being rushed at her were overwhelming.

    Hate.
    tab Betrayal.
    tab tab Humiliation.

But most of all, she felt a pang of loneliness in her heart that she hadn't felt for a long time.

tab "Listen, even though it's true that I was only acting under orders--"
"Stop! Stop explaining it already! I know! our time together may have only been orders for you, but it felt real to me okay! I just, I ..." Vivianna's voice faltered, her legs gave out and she was on her knees.

tab "You people disgust me, you're sick! I can't .. because of what you've been doing to me all this time..! " She whispered menacingly. And with a scoff, she continued to rant, "and you won't have to worry about any of this very soon, right? That's the whole deal? I won't remember anything, none of this will have happened and I'll wake up right back to where you want me. Clueless, and only too willing to help you and your... employers bring down the only person that has ever loved me."

tab She let out a wretched laugh at the entire twisted situation she was in, then, it occurred to her... a question she had just thought of. "Tell me, how many times has this happened..? How many times have I found you out? How many times have you had to go through this little break down of mine?" He sighed... his face was still handsome, even with Vivianna's hateful eyes cutting through him, she had to admit... He was still inconceivably beautiful... "Seven times." His voice still more pleasant to hear than the sweet melodies of a cello.

Vivianna shook her head and wore a rueful smile. The world began to blur in the eyes of Ms. Morretti. Colors blended, shapes became disfigured and everything melted together into a blinding white light and that was it. Her mind was blank and she remembered no more of what she had discovered....

    --

"Vivianna!" came a soft, whimsical whisper. It was enough for Vivianna Morretti's eye lids to flutter and she found herself looking up into the face of an angel. Seymour Blundell. Her love. Her life. Her dreams. Her world. "Goodmorning, love." He whispered with a playful smile as he played with a wisp of her auburn colored hair. "You're really quite beautiful in the morning." He whispered against her forehead and greeted her with a soft kiss. She flushed, of course. I'm talking full on beet red face. "Shut up!" She said and pushed him away from her (not hard, of course) . She looked away from him and tried to even out her breathing before she began to talk again.

"Hey, uhm, could you get out of my room? I kinda have to get ready." Seymour looked hurt but Vivianna knew he was just playing. He left the room without another word and Vivianna began to get ready for her day...

As she opened the cabinet behind the mirror in her bathroom, reaching for a toothbrush, her hand gasped something else in its place. A disk of some sort. She pulled it out and examined it curiously. It was labeled, 'don't let Seymour see'. And this above all made her even more curious! Seymour was her world! what couldn't he see? whose disk was this anyway? She held onto it and hopped onto her bed with her laptop. She put the disk inside the tray...

"Everything okay in there?" said Seymour from the door.
tab "Yeah, just getting dressed and all..." she replied a little wary.

She found some ear phones and plugged them in, just in case it had sound. It was a movie looking thing... Vivianna hesitated before she pressed play. 'what could this be?' She thought. and then figured the only way to find out was to watch it and so she did . . .

    --

"Vivi, I know you may not understand all of this right now, but just trust me, I've set little warnings all around the places you need to watch out for if Seymour takes you there. I can't explain it all right now, I wish I could, but I can't. If you knew right now, you'd be useless. I wouldn't be able to help you. Just... keep a lookout for lady bugs spinning their webs."

And it ended. 'The, the girl in the video was...me. How is that possible? I never made a video. It couldn't be me...' but it was Vivianna was specifically puzzled over the last remark in the video. 'Keep a lookout for lady bugs spinning their webs.' Lady bugs don't spin webs... thats spiders! Vivianna frowned. She knew she wasn't stupid, but then, how could she make a mistake like that? Lady bugs for Spiders... Ridiculous! 'Maybe I was drunk.... and decided to video tape it for laughs.' she thought, trying to explain things to herself. 'but then.... why couldn't Seymour see it too..?'

She finished her prepping quite befuddled as to what the video meant. ' should I tell Seymour about it..?' Hmph.

    --

"Hey! what do you wanna do today?" She exclaimed excitedly as she came into the living room. Seymour was at the coffee table. Vivianna thought she saw him looking at one of daddy's blueprints for a design he was working on.... oh well! he was probably just waiting for me! As you can tell, she quickly casts aside any suspicion of Seymour, he couldn't be capable of anything terrible anyway! "Love! you were taking forever! what was the hold up?" Vivianna smiled but didn't answer. There was something tugging at the back of her mind whenever she looked into Seymours eyes. It was annoying her. His violet eyes looked perfect as ever! what could possibly be bugging her so much about 'em?!

"You okay?" He asked gently, sensing something was wrong. "fine, just fine..." She couldn't ditch the feeling so she avoided looking at his eyes. " So... where's your dad, today? " Another annoying tug at the back of her mind. She wasn't sure what to say so she looked down. A lady bug. There was a jeweled pendant on the floor of a lady bug.

'Keep a lookout for lady bugs spinning their webs'

The words fluttered back to her mind with a rush. She quickly reached for the pendant and looked it over. It was small, but there was something carved into the underside of the bug pendant. 'don't tell him anything about dad The words were shocking enough. But the Vivi in the video asked Vivianna to trust her, and... well, she couldn't not trust herself, so she lied to Seymour. "Uhm, I think he said something about going out for coffee with friends."

Seymour arched an eyebrow in suspicion. "Your dad has friends, that's news." He joked. Vivianna thought that that was it. She wouldn't have to lie to her Seymour again, but he continued to press her for information about her dad for some reason. "So... has he been talking your ears off about his latest project?" How to answer this one, Vivianna wasn't sure. "Er-- not really, I don't know anything about this one, I'm not even sure he has a latest project." She lied again. Fearful that he would ask anymore, she rushed up to him and kissed him slowly. At first he was surprised but then he gave in and they just kissed for quite the while.

    --

"Ava, I think... I think she knows something, again. But this time she's hiding it, like, she's... keeping it a secret that she knows and every time I try to get anymore information out of her, she gives me nothing to work with! I'm getting impatient, I can't keep pretending to love this girl. We're not even getting any useful information anymore. I say we use the Adbrim . That'll let us get any information we want from her subconscious and we'll be done with her!" Seymour was pacing... talking into an earpiece. Waiting for Vivianna Morretti to come back downstairs. What he didn't know, was that she was there. Listening. "I know, I know... I think it's time we brought this mission to a close... gotta go. . . I love you too, Ava, I really do."

The words hurt. Tears stung Vivianna's eyes but she stayed strong. Wiped 'em away. She knew what she had to do. She'd been 'lady bug hunting' ever since she found the first one. She knew so much now. and it hurt. The knowledge hurt. She knew that Seymour didn't really love her. That he was just pretending. That hurt alot. What hurt the most was that he was using her in a mission to kill her own father. Why? She didn't know... Probably had something to do with his experiments. Vivianna knew only that she had to stop Seymour and whoever he's working for before they killed her dad.

She walked into the room and held her head as high as she could. "Hey..." To spite him for pretending to love her, Vivianna walked right up to him and kissed him more passionately than ever before. Whoever this Ava was, there was bound to be cameras of some sort so she was sure to be watching, that was Vivianna's frame of thought.. After the kiss, Seymour grasped Vivianna's wrist rather tightly and tugged her away. The two went outside, down various alley ways and then through an extremely complicated door. once they were inside Seymour began to talk to her, not in the loving tone he always used but in rough, desperate and seething grunts.

"How long have you known this time? Don't even talk to me. We've been through this enough and I'm tired of the never ending loop we've entangled ourselves in. Well, no more. I won't be tortured to love you, a villainous cohort to an evil, evil man. You're disgusted by my people? hah! We're not the one's planning an attack on innocent lives!" Seymour was angry, that was easy to see. But half the stuff he was saying barely made sense to Vivianna. "Excuse me, this evil person you refer to--" Seymour halted. "Don't play dumb with me, Vivianna Morretti! I've had to watch your house hold day and night and even venture into his secret laboratories. I've seen you on surveillance cameras! You help him! You even come up with some of the ideas!" He was speaking through his teeth, making sure each word he spit at her came out like poison . Vivianna didn't see what happened next because she felt a sharp p r i c k on her wrist and she was gone. All was black.

    --

Metal. Cold Metal. All around her. Vivianna dared not open her eyes. she still remembered the events leading up to her black out, but she didn't know her current whereabouts. All she knew was that Seymour was bloody angry with her and thought her father was evil! Ridiculous of course. Her father was a humanitarian. Not very evil at all, in fact, the nicest man she'd ever known. She risked a peek through half closed eyelids. She was strapped down to a metal bed. There was some kind of mechanism around her head. And all around her there were doctors of all sorts.

"There's nothing of use in all of her brain scans. No memories of her father's experiments at all! how they did this, I've no idea.Certainly, it couldn't have been our tampering with her memory... could it? All she knows is that her father is a scientist, and she seems to have the ground knowledge that he creates inventions to help people in need! I'd sooner think we have the wrong family!"

"Nonsense. These people are smart. They've probably made fake memories in this girl's brain as a precaution in case this ever happened."

Vivianna was tired of this. Her father was a good man! She wished they'd stop talking about him like he was a terrorist... Suddenly grunts and moans of pain could be heard. Vivianna opened her eyes quickly. All the doctors were on the floor. A shadow was over in the doorway. The figure stepped into the light... Vivianna's eyes widened. It was Vivianna herself! "H-How is this possible?!" The Vivianna rolled her eyes, took out a pill, and made her way towards Vivianna herself. "Swallow this. And you'll remember." Again, Vivianna saw no reason not to trust herself and so she did swallow the mysterious pill. It scorched her throat and made her eyes water. She tried to lash out in pain but her hands and feet were still secured to the metal bed. "Ahhh! Wh-what is this?!" The other Vivianna smirked. "It's your memories, love." And suddenly, the pain was gone, in its wake, was a massive headache, but the burning had ceased and Vivianna did remember. "Lina! Get me outta this thing." And so Lina (thought to be the other Vivianna) helped Vivianna out of her restraints and the two sisters began destroying everything in the secret room Seymour had taken Vivianna to.

They trashed the entire place, FBI equipment laid tattered to bits on the floor. "Dad's got everything in place?" Lina nodded. "Let's scat, kit-cat." Movement was among the rubble. "V-v-vivianna..." It was Seymour. He held a pistol in his shaking hands. "There were two of you this entire time...?" The sisters laughed a wretched laugh. " I always did kind of fall for you, Vivianna, I had hoped you were innocent." At this, Vivianna glared with hatred. "The only one you ever loved was this ' Ava ' girl." She began walking towards him, She kicked the pistol from his hands and held his handsome face in her hands. "I did, for some reason, fall for you, when my memories were gone..." She gazed at him wistfully...and then snapped his neck. "Lets go." She said, not even a hint of regret in her eyes.
