    Chapter One

"Alright Jammie I'm coming gimmie a second!" Andrew called back to his brother. He was the part owner of an inn in Wolf's Creek. He and his brother Jammie would take in guests on their travels. Sometimes Andrew would listen to their tales from their journeys. Andrew always wished he could travel out on his own one day, but he was needed here. Andrew walked into the lobby to find Jammie talking to a female guest. "Jammie, do you have to sexually harass every girl that comes here?" Jammie shot him a dirty look. "Shut up and take this girls belongings upstairs." "Can't you do it? I mean you've been talking to her in the same amount of time it'd take to take them up." Jammie gave him a stern and threatening stare. "It's also the same amount of time it'd take for me to kick your a** if you dont get up there!" "Fine." Andrew sighed and grabbed the bags."a**" He added under his breath. He began walking up the stairs with the young lady following behind him. "So, do you work here?" The girl asked. "Yea, you could say that." Andrew chuckled. "What do you mean by that?" She seemed pretty sweet and innocent; Andrew's least favorite combination when it came to women.

"You could say that I'm a part owner of this inn." "No seriously what do you mean?" Andrew sighed. "Never mind." Great another no nothing air head Andrew thought.

They arrived at her room. Andrew set the bags down and turned to leave the room. "Hey wait." She called. Andrew turned around and gave her his 'nice customer smile' "Yes? What is it miss?" "Here" She wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed it to him. It was her phone number. "Could you please give that to that nice guy at the counter for me?" "Sure." He smiled, tho with some difficulty this time. Andrew walked back down and threw the paper at his brother "Here! You're new lady friend wanted you to have this." Jammie took the number and slid it into his pocket. "Why thanks Drew. This can help us start our customer phone book." He grabbed a small book and put the piece of paper into it and taped it down. Andrew looked at the book. "Um, why is it full of only girl names?" Jammie laughed guiltily "N, no its not! Um here's a guy Sam!" Andrew moved his brother's finger. "You covered the rest of the name. See? Samantha." Jammie looked away. "So?! It could still be a guy!" Andrew sighed, "You're a hopeless cause."

The sun was setting and Andrew was lying on the hill. He looked up at the red-orange sky. Hmm maybe I should just sleep out here tonight. He chuckled. Suddenly he could hear footsteps coming in his direction. Andrew sat up and saw a small wolf pup. Its grey and white fur was blowing in the breeze. "Ah Machi how've ya been boy? Did I forget to play with you today?" He reached in his back pocket and pulled a small bag of bloody meat. Machi yipped and ate the food happily. Andrew layed back down. "I'm glad I have you at least." Machi wagged his tail and layed by his Andrew's side.
