• As I tread upon the rocky shore,
    I wish that I would hurt no more.
    As the sea the moon does toss,
    So I ponder all I’ve lost.

    The rocks beneath me like pillars stand;
    I hear the waves crash upon the sand.
    To my right, a seagull cries,
    And time stands still, by and by.

    ‘Till at last, on that monstrous cliff,
    An idea does my spirits lift.
    I step forward and close my eyes,
    And thus give myself to the tide.

    As I fall, I know that everything will be alright,
    For now we shall be reunited, my love and I.
