Black Moonlight

• Description: This poem was created for my comic series Black Moonlight (you won't find it here on Gaia, though). This poem can be seen in the first few pages of the comic. (Twin brothers, Ryan and Chris, go to school one day only to have their life turned upside down when vampires decide to overrun their school, killing everybody. Will they survive? Or will it all be over before it even begun?)

When it's day
There will be light
When it's dark
It will be night

The night is scary
Shrouding all that is dear
But the light will always come
Making everything clear

So don't be afraid
When the light fades away
Just close your eyes
And let your dreams guide your way

Dreams are strong
And will protect you from harm
But don't fall too deep
Into its captivating charm

For if the dreams break
And reality sets in
A battle will start
In which you can never win
