Death is a woman
With long, silver hair,
Her yellow eyes glow to let you know she's coming,
With her long, black cloak, you'll know she's there.
Her sister, Revenge, is a beautiful lady.
She's tall, strong, and fair.
She's a dark presence and very shady.
Fire burns in her red eyes and hair.
They come tonight for my laughter,
They come tonight for my joy,
They come for my happy-ever-after.
To them, I'm just a toy.
They come for my love,
They come for my heart,
They come from above,
To tear me apart.
They come for the mangled,
They come for the doomed,
They come for the angels,
They'll come for you too.
No one knows
Where their joy goes.
When a lover is lost,
They all just cry and stroke the cross.
I know
Where the love goes.
I know the sisters well.
Though many say they come from the gates of Hell.
I know better though,
I know where they come and go.
They go where they wish,
Where someone's been permanently dissmissed.
They come to me every night,
To recieve their next charge.
They come to me after each flight,
To drink my Sorrow and recharge.
Who am I to possess such power,
Up here in my attic tower?
I am the one who shall forever be,
My name is Athene Marie.

- Title: Death
- Artist: bellafemmina13
- Description: I tried to put the aspects of death and revenge into a human form, and since one follows right after another, at least in the case of a murder, I figured "why not make them sisters." By the way, I capitalized sorrow because I've also written another poem about the physical being of the emotion sorrow.
