"Ugly!" he titled me
and laughed at my pain
Seeing me flinch
at my new name.

The bathroom door locks,
I am inside.
Looking at myself,
is my body too wide?

My nose is too big,
Acne paints my face.
My hairs a rat's nest.
Wild...
Oh, what a mess!

Mom drives me to school
Knew just what to say,
which was pretty kool.

"I love you Maasa,
inside and out.
Your so beautiful,
and so is your heart."
