• Night has fallen fast and a woman screams
A new life being brought forth into the world, but where is her other half?
Nowhere to be found she pushes on
A bouncing baby girl cries for the very first time and it’s so beautiful
Each and everyone that should be there are there, but wait
    Where could he be?

    Hush

Look ahead a couple of years have passed by
Sitting in front of the door she waits, big brown eyes so wide
Waiting, hoping, wishing, praying, holding on
Too young to decided when enough is enough yet she feels it inside
And the waiting turns into questions that her mother is too afraid to answer
But she has to know the truth

    Hush

She can barely remember his face
But knows that the hate she feels is more than real, frightening in fact
Wanting to believe that the promise he made is not yet dead
Yet she feels as though she has already died inside
Swearing to never let another man hurt her as much as the one that helped bring her here
Looking away she hides the fact that she is hurting eternally

    Hush

Standing before him no longer expecting anything more than what he’s given her
He tries to reason with her actions, explaining himself so that she understands
But what he will never know is that she understood from when he never came through that door
So numb to the tears she no longer cares for his replayed excuses
She’s build up her own explanations to why she feels the way she does
Lips parting she no longer feels the need to hush
