• Betrayed:

    Betrayal
Nothing more despicable than the word
    While one is left clueless
    Showing love
    And compassion
    The other hides
    Ignoring the feelings
Of the one that cared the most
When he asked what was wrong
    She would reply:
    “Nothing love”
When he asked if he could trusted her:
    “Of course love”
When he asked if she was hiding something:
    “Never from you love”
He remains ignorant to the fact that remained
    He never asked:
    “Is there someone else”
Because he trusted and loved her.
    Even if she did reply
    The answer would be:
“You’re the only one for me, love”
    Love
Love a word that means so much
Yet she throws it around like nothing
    She knows he trusts her
Yet she fears if she told the truth
That he would disappear for good.
While she remains in the arms of another
And looks at the moon and says the same thing
“You’re the only one for me, love”
While the clueless looks up at the same moon
    And thinks only about her
Counting the days till they could meet again
    He is at his happiest
Because he believes he’s the only one
When the day comes that he finds out about the other
She starts to fear that they would both leave forever
    Her heart starts to race
When he asks why she is in the arms of another
    She replies:
    “I don’t know”
When he asks her what he did wrong
    She responds:
    “Nothing”
    His heart shatters
    Unmendable
He is crushed by the truth
But still he doesn’t show her
He had told her time and time again
That he would do anything to make her happy
As he sits alone and wonders what comes after
He never forgets what she meant to him
He keeps his promise and stays for her
    He keeps wanting her happiness
When she starts to regret her choice
    He waits
Comforting her he has selfish thoughts
    But he remains neutral
He does what’s best for her and doesn’t act
He keeps his promise that he will stay
Though the angel that has fallen
    Has no right to stand
By the one who always offered his hand
    He smiles no matter what
Even when she decided to betray
