No, I'm not nice, but I'm not mean
I'm sorry that everyone seems to have a problem with me..
I'm not stepping down, though.
Becuase there's more than what you're seeing that I'm willng to show
With me.
I don't care what you say
I'm gonna live my life anyway
Think I should kick it up a notch.
I don't like to be pushed around.
You won't knock me to the ground
Today!
Vengeance is so sweet
But defiance is even sweeter.
Standing out in the crowd
Once ordinary wears out, it's oh so bitter.
Shout it at me
Scream it loud
But I'm defiant
And I'm ever so proud
I watch the word slice through you like a knife.
I crave defiance.
I'm sorry, ma'am, I must confess
I'm tired of the same old dress.
I hate what it's done to me.
It's driving me toward insanity.
That's not okay with me.
I hate all your fairy tales.
We live in a world where almost everyone fails.
And there's a problem with that.
Take these clothes and throw 'em away.
Time to start a brand new day.
It's a burden to you, I'm sure.
Vengeance is so sweet
But defiance is even sweeter.
Standing out in the crowd
Once ordinary wears out, it's oh so bitter.
Shout it at me
Scream it loud
But I'm defiant
And I'm ever so proud
I watch the word slice through you like a knife.
I crave defiance.
Watch the rain pour over me.
Love, come take my hand.
I want to fly free and feel better than I ever have.
Not buried neck-deep in sand.
So come dig me out!
Vengeance is so sweet
But defiance is even sweeter.
Standing out in the crowd
Once ordinary wears out, it's oh so bitter.
Shout it at me
Scream it loud
But I'm defiant
And I'm ever so proud
I watch the word slice through you like a knife.
I crave defiance.
