• Passing by, pulling me up: A shape covered in light...
She bent down to my earthly cage, set me free, disappeared, like
a fading blur, moving out of sight...

I leapt to my numb feet, knees giving in to the burden of my past,
fell back down, screaming without sound, all hope lost.

Raising my eyes, I could make out a face, an image surreal,
lacking flaw, full of grace, then, then words tender like a kiss,
a man of misery found his bliss.
    The man was changed...

A warm embrace; He held on tight, for he was sick of darkness,
blinded by hatred, he had now found life, guided by a candle
burning bright, the sweet touch of love, a sweet soul guiding
him through the night, he let go his pride, another touch
divine yet light, his rusty heart gave a new beat, he found
    new strength, passionate heat...

He lost his path, yet again, ignored his heart, followed his
mind; He tore the wings off his angel's back, pushed her
    away, of consciousness lack...

Alone again, he drowned in pain, knowing he willingly gave up
angels for hell, for he did not accept change, a different
taste of life, and regret pierced his heart like a knife.

Down again, he crawls back, to find the love he lost in
a memory stained black...He crawls and crawls, to find that love,
that angel, shedding tears far above.
