• I sit up and the grass rustles.
I'm in my spot the usual meadow.

    The birds tweet,
    and they cheep.
I just lay, and fall asleep.

The sun shines bright and beams through the clouds.
Lighting up my world, as I bask in it's warmth.
As I look around at this beautiful world.

The trees as they whisper to one another.
The cool breeze as it caresses my cheek.

The babbling brook twists, and falls.
    I'm content.

    For the first time,
    in a long time.

    I close my eyes,
    and it's no surprise.

I sing, the melody nice and clear.
Ringing and dancing, echoing back at me.

Until it stops, and the whole world is quiet again.
