Alchemy II Professor Juan Amorocho Nestled in the far corner of the fourth floor, the Alchemy class can be found behind a large oak door revealing a dimly lit, and brief tunnel passage way and lead into the rest of the wide circular room. Tremendous windows lined the walls to give birth to the section dedicated to herbology, which also lined the walls and flowering beds filled with a myriad of plants blossom in the sunlights dazzling rays. Broad desks occupied the center and faced the professor's desk which sat directly in between the windows and the children; two cauldrons reside upon the wooden desks, adjacent to their wooden chair counter part. Traditionally, the hispanic alchemist could be found tending to the foliage, or otherwise seated behind his desk. Rules 1. Common Sense Courtesy 2. Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Classroom Thoughts: '.....' ╚══════════════╝ Juan wondered about the complete absence of students on the first day of class, but leaving himself little time to dwell on that fact, and the other hypothesized conclusions that came with it as he entered his classroom, clad in a steel silver suit, and a dark blue button down shirt. He immediately withdrew his wand from his pocket and pointed it at the chalkboard with one quick thrust. Quote: • 1) That the entire universe is divine in origin. Therefore Wisdom and Guidance must be sought from the source from which all creation flows. • 2) That all organisms, no matter how subtle or gross they are, have within them the divine spark of life and are interrelated with each other. It is therefore our task to understand this kinship, so that we may utilize inspired knowledge to aid in our understanding of how to prepare the quintessence of our matter. • 3) That all organisms are in a state of constant evolution as they continue their synthesis towards perfection. Upon reaching an understanding of tenet (2) the true work begins, i.e. , the aiding of nature by the art of alchemy to reach its highest point of perfection. • 4) That humans are a part of the universe. Therefore, they are divine in origin and they can affect all organisms on all spheres of existence by their actions or inaction. • 5) That humans, by understanding the basic laws that govern their beings and conversely the entire universe may learn to recognize the divine spark of vital energy in all organisms, isolate it, purify it, and manipulate it to speed up the processes of evolution.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Classroom Thoughts: '...' ╚══════════════╝ The professor entered the classroom hastily, his clock had ran several minutes late, thus, making the professor himself late. The Hispanic man carried himself diligently to the front of the classroom and examined each desk which contained a basin of murky brown water, and with a simple wave of his wand, the familiar script of Juan Angel Amorocho scribbled upon the board with instructions and information over a spell to be learned this class. ”Welcome to Alchemy II, students, I am Professor Juan Angel Amorocho, if that’s too hard to say then a casual professor, or Professor Angel will do.” He introduced himself as he glided towards the center of the classroom. ”This semester we will be going over the importance of elements in alchemy, and no, not the standard elements or ingredients that would compose a potion, but the four classic elements you all know and love, and, the sub-core category associated with each.
“Fire, is an element of heart, water, an element of soul, wind is associated with mind, and earth is with the body. With that in mind, certain spells are going to be easier or harder dependent upon your own level of association with each of the four categories, and later in the year, you’re going to learn how to brew a simple potion which can actually help you figure out which element your closest associated with.
“Now, today, we’re going to learn the spell, delbou, which can purify an amount of water of impurities to make it drinkable, the amount, of course, is dependent upon the casters ability and spirit. Concentration is very important, along with pronunciation, say it with me, del-BUE, now, turn to the basins of water at your desk and give it a go.”Quote: Name of the spell Delbou Pronunciation of the spell Del-BUE Meaning behind the name Dealbo meaning: to purify, whitewash Effects of the spell This spell purifies water of any impurites making it drinkable Wand movements required to perform properly: Concentration is key; with a gentle gesture, point the tip of the water towards the body of water Is there a distance requirement? Must be within several feet Are the effects lasting? It is long-lasting, unless other factors are added (ex: pollution) Did your Character create the spell? No. Year needed to cast Fifth Is this for a class? Yes, Alchemy Anything else? Water. Soul.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Classroom Thoughts: '.....' ╚══════════════╝ Strolling into the classroom a tad bit late, the professor apologized quickly as he tapped his wand against the chalkboard where the days instructions began to sprawl across the green board with a white chalky text. Gliding to the front of the classroom, he indicated a page to turn to within the text books. "Today, we are going to be learning the Mystics Potion, which, when concocted correctly, acts as a shield of mist contained within a vial which is explosive upon contact to create a wall of mist that recreates your personal element, it can resemble fire, water, wind, or earth, and whereas it isn't dangerous in any way, it can be a great get away,
"And, it also allows you a bit of insight on which element will come easiest to you, because in this year, we're learning all about the four classic elements. Some spells will be easy to your nature, and others won't. But this will help you determine your strengths....
"This is my potion." Professor Amorocho explained as he manuevered towards his desk and collected a tiny vial of thick indigo viscous, and tossing it towards the back of the room, the glass exploded with a horrific crash before a gust of gas exploded into the back of the room, swirling with the everpresent cluster of blues, and grays, as if being cast inside of the wave of an ocean. The professor paused to open a window to allow the cloud of what seemed like water disappear out in generous wisps. Quote: One Stop Watch 2 tsp Acromantula venom ½ jigger Black beetle eyes 1 cup Doxy eggs ¾ tbs Powdered Romanian Longhorn dragon horn 5 ½ fl. oz. Erumpent Fluid 3 liters Murtlap Essence ¼ gallon Flubberworm Mucus 2 ½ cups of shredded Ginger Roots ¼ cup essence of Lovage 4 cups Pomegranate Juice 7 Pufferfish Eyes 1 gallon water 1. Add one gallon of water to cauldron and set to boil. 2. Combine two cups of pomegranate juice and the powdered Romanian Longhorn dragon horn in a separate basin, and stir gently. 3. Waiting exactly five minutes in between, add half of a single fluid ounce of Erumpent fluid, at a time, to the mixture of pomegranate juice and powdered dragon horn, there should be eleven total instances in which Erumpent Fluid added. Severe caution should be taken during this step, or the basin may melt, or explode. 4. Add the mixture of pomegranate, powdered dragon horn, and Erumpent fluid to the cauldron; let contents boil for approximately five minutes, and then add the final two cups of pomegranate juice turning the contents a deep lavender color. 5. Add one cup of doxy eggs to the cauldron, if the mixture is done correctly, the eggs should float. Stir in eggs counterclockwise until they sink to the bottom. 6. Combine half a jigger of black beetle eyes with three liters of murtlap essence in a separate basin, and once the eyes have dissolved, add to the cauldron. 7. To thicken the mixture, combine a quarter of a gallon of flubberworm mucus, stirring clockwise for one minute, and counterclockwise the next minute, and continue this cycle until the mixture thickens to a lilac color. 8. Slice each pufferfish eye in half through the use of the severing charm, and then drop each half eye into the cauldron, one at a time. 9. Stir in two teaspoons of acromantula venom. 10. Add remaining essence of lovage and ginger roots to the cauldron, a pink smoke will emit for several moments, stir the concoction with your wand and it should generously begin changing colors until it settles into a thick indigo color once it cools.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Classroom Thoughts: '...' ╚══════════════╝ The professor strolled into class early with a folder of notes tucked dutifully under his arm, a cop of coffee cleverly concealed within his hand as he entered the room. Glancing around, he thrust his wand about, causing curtains to fly open and text to appear on the chalkboard at the front of the room as he awaited his only student for the period to arrive. "Welcome back, today, we are going to learn quite a useful spell, very dynamic, because there is always being new uses discovered for this spell. Essentially, it will make whatever you desire cold. So, if your trapped on an island, you can charm spots of water to freeze to ice. If metal is blocking your way, then a simple bout of this spell, and a quick kick, and it'll send any form of metal to pieces....
"The spell is called, Frango Frigis," the professor explained as he demonstrated the spell and pointed his wand at an empty metal cauldron, and at once, it hazed over with ice. The professor then proceeded to further his point by picking up the cauldron, and then dropping it on the ground with one simple motion proving his fact as the cauldron shattered to bits. Of course, it only took a moment for him to charm the cauldron back to its usual luster. "Now see if you can give it a go on the cauldron."Quote: Name of the spell: Frango Frigus Pronunciation of the spell: Fran-GUU FRI-jus Meaning behind the name: Frango is latin for shatter. Frigis is latin for cold, coldness. Effects of the spell: Variation of this spell depends upon the caster, whereas the spell can either freeze a body of water, freeze metal until it is weak, or a human until they are sick or frozen solid. Wand movements: With a steady, firm hand, begin by pointing at the target, and then flick the tip of the wand upward towards the skies, and then quickly revert the wand back to its prior position pointed at the target. Is there a distance requirement?: Must be within sight of object of person Are the effects lasting?: Yes, until finite has been cast into effect or warmed by magical means. Did your Character create the spell?: No Year needed to cast: Fourth Is this for a class?: Alchemy Anything else?: Water. Soul. Counterforce.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Fourth Year Classroom ╚══════════════╝
”Welcome back students, I hope you had an excellent summer. This year we’re going to dive right back in with a lecture about one of the greatest alchemists in history—Nicholas Flamel. If your new, or if you don’t remember me, my name is Professor Angel. If you haven’t already, take out your notebook or parchment and quill and begin taking notes.
“The famed alchemist Nicolas Flamel, born in the 1327, created the only known Philosopher's Stone in existence. Flamel used the Elixir of Life made from the stone to extend his and his wife, Perenelle's, lifespan for centuries until they decided to destroy the stone in 1992, where the couple soon died afterwards.
“The Philosopher's Stone was a man-made, blood-red stone with magical properties. It could be used to create the Elixir of Life, which extended the drinker's lifespan, as well as transform any metal into pure gold. The Philosopher's Stone was believed to mystically amplify the user's knowledge of alchemy so much that anything was attainable.
“You should remember from last year, the stone was finally found within Hogwarts School by Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort, after a series of trials and tasks set by the professors, Mister Harry Potter saved the stone and returned it to Dumbledore where he and Nicholas Flamel decided to destroy it.
“Nicholas Flamel had always been an alchemist that believed in the true pursuit of enlightenment, because alchemy is not only a practical magic, it’s also a philosophy. Now, does anyone have any questions?” The Hispanic professor inquired, glancing about his students and their scribbling quills. [[[Do not post until Thursday, 17, when the class begins. I will be out of town until Sunday, so I won’t be able to answer until then.]]]

Jessica Sassareth
Slytherin, Fourth Year Jess entered the Alchemy Classroom glad to see Professor Amorocho once more. Before the end of the previous school year, Jess wondered if she'd ever have the grace of his presence once more. Having survived another year, the still-ill redhead was glad to see the hispanic instructor smiling warmly at him. Dutifully, Jess wrote the notes on Nicolas Flamel -- already familiar with the material.

Taking the seat she had claimed as her own in the previous year, her parchment and tools were taken out in natural habit rather than urgency to take notes on the material mentioned for the day's lesson. The subject of Mister Flammel was one well versed in her mind as he was a high profiled wizard she had searched the histories and achievements of in her first entrance into the wizarding world. However, even with the content spoken and lectured being all too familiar in her mind, she still listened intently and took notes to humour the professor. At the end of the lecture, she smiled kindly and as she was putting her things away, she raised her hand and asked, "When Mister Flammel and Albus Dumbledore destroyed the stone, is it known how much Elixir of Life had already been made at that point? Or how long it was to last Mister Flammel."╚══════════════════╝

Slip out the back before they know you were there
and at the worst you'll see nobody cares, you don't want to be around when it all goes down... William Dante Nott the Third Fourth Year, Slytherin
Alchemy had been one of the most versatile classes, and he ever wondered how it came to be that alchemy was left to be a branch of its own fuse of magic. Of course, he believed earnestly that the subject could easily become a doctrine, a way of life—but not his. This class proved to be more useful with ever lesson he learned, and so, he entered this class with peaked curiosity as he set himself down and began to copy down notes.
When he finished, he began to pack his things, but he lingered as he turned to take note in Jessica and Phinelia’s status—neither one had left. So he stood idly, awaiting an answer from Professor Angel, while debating the prospects of cornering a particular redheaded raven.

”An intriguing question, to be sure Miss von Ichval. Mr. and Mrs. Flamel were very secretive people, and throughout the course of time, they were spotted all throughout history from France, to England, and even to Russia, and China, especially rumored within opera houses. Only the Flamel’s new how much Elixer of Life was left, them, and of course, Albus Dumbledore. It’s rumored that the Flamel’s only had just enough elixir to set their affairs in order before shortly dying afterward in the year nineteen ninty-two; the year that Mister Harry Potter had found the stone and also the year that Mister Dumbledore had destroyed it.” He concluded with a short nod, and glanced about wondering if there were any more questions.
