Although Alex finds this class interesting, she doesn't find it interesting enough to study for. Memorizing facts about space? How boring. In fact, the only reason why she didn't receive a T in the course is because she found some concepts interesting enough that they stuck in her mind.
Charms
A
Alex can properly cast spells, and they work, but not usually to her full potential. A lot of the times, the spell will sort of half work, or function for a small amount of time.
Defense Against the Dark Arts
EE
Although Alex's spells don't usually work 100% the way they are supposed to, this doesn't really happen when she is concentrated on defending herself (or others). Her mind and body are so focused on making the spell work that it does.
Herbology
D
Plants? Yeah, right. This must be the most boring class, closely followed by A History of Magic. Half the time, Alex didn't even attend. The other half of the time, she goofed off in class, which reflected on how much she was able to study for the exams.
History of Magic
T
This had to be the second most boring class. Alex didn't attend very much, and when she did, she usually daydreamed. Again, memorizing facts about what happened in what year wasn't something she wanted to spend time doing.
Potions
A
Besides the fact that Alex has caused one or two (or three) explosions in class, she ended up getting it after being forced into detention, where the professor helped her with following the steps by step instead of skipping over some that she didn't think were needed. Alex managed to pass by taking her time on the practicum during the exam to follow each step.
Transfiguration
P
If Alex had trouble getting her charms to function properly, Transfiguration was definitely not going to be any easier. Transforming objects or animals into other objects or animals was tough enough for the average student, and Alex was well below the average student.
Art
O
Finally, a fun and interesting one that didn't involve much studying, but rather creating. Art has always interested Alex, and she uses it to express herself. The student puts her all into these types of classes.
Care of Magical Creatures

Although Alex loves animals, she wasn't entirely interested in learning about the more boring magical creatures. She did well on the units with the cooler ones, but the ones she really didn't care about brought her grade down.
Cooking with Magic
D
Cooking sucks, but cooking with magic had to be fun and easy, right? Wrong. This class was like Potions, except worse because cooking is a chore. Chores and Alex don't mix. Consequently, she failed.
Cursebreaking
EE
Cursebreaking wasn't easy, but it was interesting and Alex actually put quite a bit of effort into it. Her wand is strong when she uses it properly, which involves a lot of concentration.
Ghoul and Ghost Studies
O
This subject was very interesting to learn about, even if it was mostly memorizing facts. Since Alex was intrigued by the information she learned, it was fairly easy to remember.
Muggle Art
O
Just like Art, Alex uses this class to express herself, and she really enjoys doing so. The student puts all her energy into her work, and comes out with creative and fascinating results.
Wandless Magic Practice Class

Concentrating with a wand in hand was tough enough, but without one? Alexandria had serious issues getting any of her magical abilities to work with just her hands.
