Let's say sunshine for everyone. But as far as I can remember- We've been migratory animals... Living under changing weather. Someday we will foresee obstacles. A S T E R I A C E C I L Y F R E Y first year │ gryffindor │ muggleborn
Aster's blue eyes went wide as saucers when all the food appeared. She was certain she'd never seen this much food in her life, even on holidays. After all, her family was only three people, her parents and herself. She had no aunts and uncles, and her surviving grandparents were in nursing homes. Holidays were always special, but there was no giant spread of food, because there was no way the three of them would have been able to eat it all. Now, though... She didn't know what to eat first. The more dessert like dishes were tempting, but then again, so was the fish and chips she saw nearby, as well as the Yorkshire pudding. She dug in, and didn't stop eating until her stomach began to ache. She'd probably overdone it, but oh well. It was her first night at this strange, wonderful school. She was allowed to celebrate. When an older girl spoke up, Aster cast a doubtful look her way, before realizing she should probably do what the prefect said if she wanted to know how to get to her dorm. She reluctantly took a final sip of juice before standing up and trudging after Danica. Through the blizzard, through the blizzard... Today we will sell our uniform! Live together, live together- We played hide and seek in waterfalls; We were younger, we were younger.

Aster was a bit jittery; she could hardly believe how fast the year had flown by. She'd definitely enjoyed it more than any year in muggle school, and now that it was over she was torn between regret that she was leaving and excitement for the summer. She wasn't going to miss the homework, that was for sure. She waited impatiently for Pam to join her. The whole 'sitting at separate tables' thing hadn't lasted very long at all, and they'd yet to get in trouble for it, other than some dirty looks from prefects, so Aster had no intention of spending the last feast alone. They had to plan out their summer! More mundane adventures awaited! Through the blizzard, through the blizzard... Today we will sell our uniform! Live together, live together- We played hide and seek in waterfalls; We were younger, we were younger.

spacePamela joined her best friend at the Gryffindor table, fake-sneaking her way over to the table as if she were overacting in a bad spy movie. She even hummed her own theme music, a la Kronk. Well, it wasn't like she was worried about getting into trouble; she was pretty sure if the prefects actually had the power to do anything about it, they would've by now. She'd only been sitting at the Gryffindor table since, oh, lunch their first day of school. They'd tried just facing one another from their own tables at breakfast, but it'd been a horrible bother. She'd dropped egg on her skirt! And anyway, by the time they'd gotten to lunch, they'd realized there were actually a lot of students sitting at tables other than their own. If the older kids could do it, so could they, she'd reasoned! Most of the time she sat with Aster, but sometimes Aster sat with her. She grinned widely at her best friend. "Happy to be going home?" she asked, voice squeaking ever so slightly in fake-cheer. Honestly, Pam wasn't all that excited to be going home. She did miss her mothers, terribly, but... Uh, hello? Magic school. Nothing was cooler than magic school. And she'd have to go three. Whole. Months. With no magic! It was like taking someone who'd been trapped in the desert, offering them a fully expenses paid vacation to a tropical oasis, and then dragging them back into the desert. But... well, at the same time, as great as the House-Elves were, their baked goods just didn't compare to Maman's. She almost missed the bakery more than she did her parents! Well, it wasn't like she didn't write to them constantly. And they did send her 'care packages', but, the pastries weren't exactly fresh when they arrived. Not. The. Same. "I'm gonna eat, like, twenty scones when I get home," she declared, sighing happily at the prospect. Maybe she could get one of the elves to visit her house and learn her Maman's recipes or something. That'd be pretty cool!

Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day! The sun is up, the sky is blue... It's beautiful and so are you! Dear Prudence, open up your eyes. Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies. Look around, round and round- p r u d e n c e " p r u " l o w e r y gryffindor │ third year │ pureblood
Pru entered the Great Hall early, already on the lookout for Addy or Tori, but saw neither of her best friends before she sat down at the Gryffindor table. The year had been uneventful, if tiring. Getting used to a ton of extra classes with the addition of electives had been stressful, but she'd finally fallen at ease with her schedule towards the end of the year. Hopefully everything would go fine next year, and she'd do well on her OWLs the year after that... It felt strange to realize she would be a fourth year next year, on the cusp of becoming an upperclassmen. After all, third years must be seen like babies to the oldest students. But she'd been fourteen since Christmas, she would have liked to point out. She was older than quite a few of her classmates. Maybe that was why she sometimes felt like a long suffering older sibling? She was the youngest in her immediate family, so perhaps it was a role she liked to try on, to see how things were like on the other side of the spectrum. Her cousin Rhys would be coming to Hogwarts next year, which she was excited about, even if Rhys wasn't really talking as of late. She hoped she could learn as much sign language as possible, because from what she'd heard this sounded like a lasting sort of thing. She had her own feelings on the matter, but it wasn't really her place to be yelling at adults in her family, she thought. The wind is low, the birds will sing... That you are part of everything! Dear Prudence, let me see you smile. Dear Prudence, like a little child. The clouds will be a daisy chain, So let me see you smile again.

spaceIvy spotted her best friend already seated at the table and very unceremoniously plopped down next to him, crossing her arms over the tabletop before her butt was even on the bench. As soon as she was down, her head followed suit, chin resting on her arms, an annoyed expression on her face. She hated. Going. Home. It sucked. It meant she had to spend three bloody months with her mother. Which was going to suck even more now, because according to the letter she'd gotten a couple weeks ago, Evelyn had a new boyfriend. A muggle (big shock) who obviously did not and could not know anything about magic, especially not so early in their relationship. Which meant Ivy had to lock all her school things up in her closet, and pretend like they didn't even ruddy exist. And she couldn't even use Nathan for post, which was ridiculous! She had to pretend he was just a weird, quirky pet! It was insulting, really! Nathan was a highly intelligent animal, who had a purpose, and that purpose was not to sit in a cage all Summer doing nothing! She swore, she wanted to bloody scream!
spaceThe redhead noticed that she wasn't the only one in a poor mood; Joel's expression told her he probably wasn't too thrilled, either, for some reason. She'd chalk it up to him not wanting to be stuck with Grayson for company, though honestly, the guy wasn't really all that bad. A total nerd and oblivious as all get out, but not that bad. Still, though, she got that the blond probably had a pretty boring Summer ahead of him. Especially since he absolutely loathed history. Ivy poked him in the ribs. "You're looking even more constipated than usual," she intoned dryly, arching a brow. "What crawled up your butt and died?" It had something to do with Grayson, she'd bet all the money she had on that. Which, normally wouldn't be saying much, considering she had a habit of blowing all her money on candy first chance she got, but she hadn't exactly had access to a store to buy said candy at since Christmas, after all. Next year... Ugh, she was sooo looking forward to Hogsmeade. Honeydukes sounded like absolute heaven.

Axel bit into a chocolate frog, still unraveling the rest of the package trying to pry free the wizarding card from its wrapper. ”Another Babayaga? Bullocks.” He whistled out a slow breath of air, tucked the card in his pocket, and shuffled through the crowds in the antechamber to reach the great hall, maneuvering down the aisles between two elongated tables, trying to find the perfect seat amidst the adornments of crimson and gold. It was mostly younger students, he realized with a wrinkle in his nose. No one he really knew. So, in light of his absolute loneliness seated at the table, he hid his insecurities behind his goblet, taking a slow and deliberate gulp of pumpkin juice while his eyes roamed over the rim, keeping a lookout for someone—anyone—he knows. He should've known better than to come so early.

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness..." Finally, the day had come...the day where he was to graduate. He'd been looking forward for the day that he would get to leave, but truthfully, it was a bittersweet. He had no idea what was to come of him in the future. Friends were a scarcity to him...so, in reality, part of him believed that he would practically be starting a new life. He even contemplated moving to America to start a new one, where he would be judged on nothing he'd done in the past. He had thought about it for quite a long time, but decided against it because of the lone fact that he would be leaving behind people in which he generally cared...specifically Ronna.
Sitting down at the table, his eyes shifted vision between the decorations around the Great Hall, knowing that that was going to be the last time he ever saw it...because he sure wasn't going to be a teacher...that's for sure, nor would they ever hire him if he did want to be, but that was beside the point. Looking around to see all the familiar faces...he knew that he probably would not see any of them ever again. He was not nearly as sad about that than say someone else, but it was still going to be weird not living in the dormitories, or not having every breakfast prepared by the House Elves, or even having classes. He still wasn't sure what he wanted to do either, which may have been a problem. He'd knew he had to figure it out however.
He took a drink out of the refillable water bottle he had, ready for the ending feast to actually begin. His last time hearing the constantly reiterated speech. And oh how much he couldn't wait to hear it...one final time. It was good closure to say the least. "And some have greatness thrust upon them"

It was sort of selfish of her to be bringing him over to her table rather than just going over to the Ravenclaw table but it was a character trait she'd learned to accept about herself. She saw it was mainly just younger years sitting at the table and surrounding tables so she figured that gave them a good handful of minutes to be as disgusting as they wanted before the prefects started coming in and she had to set a "good example." Bullocks, the whole lot of it. Who decided that she should be given such authority? At least the year was over and after tonight her job was done and given to the next sap...student. And what a year it was! She felt like she had been spread thinner than grape jelly on a breakfast biscuit this year. Quidditch, dueling, patrols, NEWT studying, it was a wonder how she managed to have any fun or sleep! But now it was all over and honestly, she felt a little jilted. She had the usual feelings of oldness and slight melancholy that this was both the official end and the official beginning but still. She wanted fireworks! Some fanfare! Something! Tanya just gave a soft sigh as she sat in the nearest empty seat and unceremoniously pulled Echo into the seat beside her so she could snuggle up to him. She'd been doing it a lot since her NEWT Defense test but she didn't want to think about that at the moment. "Is it bad I want to skip the feast and just go make a mess of things around the castle since it's my last night here?" she asked her boyfriend with a slight huff.

spaceEcho had considered informing Tanya that, on his last night in the castle, he probably ought to sit at his own table, but really, there wasn't any reason for him to. The only person he'd care to sit with at the Ravenclaw table was probably his cousin, considering that David was likely to also be at the Gryffindor table with Leo. Echo did want to check on Avian, but, he reasoned that could probably wait. He was mostly just going to remind the kid that, if he needed anything, all he had to do was get in touch. Especially since Echo was going to be living alone... Which he was not looking forward to, really, but what was he going to do, ask his sister to move back home? Yeah, right. Firstly, he wouldn't do that to her, he knew she hated it there now. Secondly, they'd kill one another without their parents to police them. They'd nearly done it last Summer. He supposed he could've asked Tanya if she wanted to move in, but seriously, he wasn't insane. Besides, it was probably not the best idea, considering that he was planning on going to her father about getting a job at the publishing company. "Hey, just so you know, I'm going to be shacking up with your daughter, also can I have a job?" No way in hell. He was a lot of things, but suicidal was definitely not one of them. Not that he really, logically believed the man would kill him, but he didn't really fancy a lifetime of being the hated boyfriend/husband/whatever.
spaceThe Ravenclaw snorted faintly at his girlfriend's question, shaking his head at her in amusement. She would want to do that. It just figured. He put on a mock-stern expression, and wagged his finger at her. "Now, Tanya, you're still Head Girl for a night. Think of all the impressionable soon-to-be second years that'll see that and think it's a good example of how to kick off their holiday?" he told her, struggling to keep his expression up. He actually managed it fairly well, not breaking util the last word had left his mouth, but made up for it by bursting into laughter. After a moment, he managed to stop, then winked at her. "You sure that's what you wanna do, though? I bet there's a couple classrooms we haven't made out in yet," he said. Well, it wasn't like they'd ever have another chance! To do that, or anything else, he thought, which made him sort of sad. But, he had to say, in spite of everything... he was sort of looking forward to what was to come. What exactly that was, he had no idea. He had plans, sure, but you never knew when life was going to toss those right out the window. It'd already happened once, after all, when his parents had died. He wasn't overly dedicated to any plans he made as a result. Besides... maybe not planning too far ahead would be interesting.

Aster turned when she heard faint humming, grinning at her friend as she made her way over. She nodded in a 'well, duh' sort of way at Pam's question, but thought she detected a hint of... something in her tone. Maybe Pam wasn't so eager to be headed back to the muggle world? Well, it wasn't like Aster was relieved, but she just... she had missed her parents. A bit. It'd been weird, not even being able to hear their voices for so long. She'd only seen them at Christmas. She'd never been away from them for more than maybe a week before Hogwarts, and that had been with phones. And video calls. "Just twenty?" she scoffed. "I'll eat... like fifty before Mum and Dad can drag me off on vacation. If I have to go to one more children's museum for the... 'educational value' I am going. To. Scream." She stabbed the table with a fork to make a point, and stuck her tongue out at an older student who stared. Through the blizzard, through the blizzard... Today we will sell our uniform! Location: Great Hall - Gryffindor Table Entering the Great Hall for the last time Leonette stopped at the entrance and took it all in. So she didn’t win the house cup and she hadn’t won the quidditch cup, none of that mattered. It had been a fun year and she’d lost to her sister. Sure most Gryffindors would hate losing to Slytherin but Leonette could admit that the snakes did well this year. Looking at each of the tables she saw her sisters and her cousin at their house tables. Looking at her own she noted all the friends she made, more then she had expected to begin with. Boy was she lucky… multiple friends and a fiancé that loved her. Walking over to the Gryffindor table Leonette made her way over to Tanya and Echo. “I’m pretty sure once you’ve snogged in one classroom you’ve snogged in them all.” She commented taking a seat across from the two. “Besides, I don’t need the best man and the maid of honor of my wedding running off on the last night we’re here.” She added smiling at the two. “On that note, don’t let me stop you.” Leonette said with a wink. “Although I have to admit at least I get to see you two after this for the event. It makes saying goodbye a lot easier.” she said trying to remain positive. Why did tonight have to be sad? Letting out a soft sigh she wondered if David would come join her. She hoped so… Status: My last night... I'm sure going to miss it... With: Fellow Gryffindors... Tanya, Echo Wearing: Gryffindor Uniform OOC: I'm assuming that David and Leo have talked so she would know about Echo smile Gryfindor you say? Yes, I could see you doing well there... So be it! xDavid Sinclair Averyxxxxx xxxx <7th Year> Time: End of the 2029-2030 School Year Location: Gryffindor Table Dressed: In his Uniform ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx David had arrived later than many students to the feast, merely for the fact he saw no rush to be down there. It wasn't like he had a huge number of friends. Danica might consider him a friend-but she was closer with Cathy and it was likely Danica would show up often enough thanks to her close friendship with his sister. Mira, well, she was soon to be his sister through marriage. Tanya he'd see at work. Echo, well if he was feeling nastalgic to see him, he was sure it wouldn't be hard to plan something through Tanya. And, Leo he'd be seeing far more of than he ever did at school in the not so far future. Everyone else, he didn't really see a need to see again. Ever. And honestly he was sure most of the school would be thrilled at his departure. However, what did he care about being disliked by so many, that was never his goals at Hogwarts. He wished to graduate with top grades, and doubted he had done particularly poorly in any of his NEWTs though he had a suspicion a few may have been what he would have considered completely horrifying: an A. He'd like to think he was a bit less melodramatic at 18 than he was at 11 or 12. After all he wasn't particularly disturbed by the few Es he had gotten, and the failing grade he had managed to get over. When he had gotten to the Great Hall he had initially planned to sit at his house table when he saw sitting over at Gryffindor Tanya and Echo together joined by Leo. From the looks of it, it was confirmed that Tanya and Echo weren't moving in together, they would be able to be a little farther apart. Granted with Echo's fear of Tanya's adopted father, it made sense. Unless they got engaged and then married. Tanya didn't seem thrilled with the idea of young marriages though. In fact David had gotten a few glares from Tanya on his own engagement. Sitting down next to Leo he caught her statement about the classrooms and then her fear of them running off and the idea of saying goodbye. "I never saw the excitement in finding a new place to snog someone constantly. I always assumed that the who mattered far more than the where." He shrugged and raised a brow as Leo said that she shouldn't let her stop them. "Please don't encourage them," David added to Leo, nodding towards Echo. "It was bad enough with his sister and Jer and then Ms. Kiss and Mr. Walsh going at it last year and the year before."He shook his head and said, "I'll let one of them house sit for me-us-after the wedding for a few days or so. I can borrow a house elf or two for the after effects of that," He said with a shake of his head, "As for seeing them again, well it is a given, they're our best option for godparents for the next couple years."------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll be the watcher (watcher) of the eternal flame. I'll be the guard dog of all your fever dreams. ❁ ❀ ✿Tanya wrinkled her nose at Echo's waggling finger and fought the childish urge to bite at it while he mock chided her into making a good impression before he even started laughing. "Please, if anything I'm giving them something to live up to next year." she said with an easy grin before her eyes widened in both thought and surprise at his next words. She was sure there was a couple on the fourth or fifth floor they hadn't tainted yet. Ack, where did the time go?! She was brought out of her mind by Leo coming over with the wise opinion that once you've snogged in one classroom that was pretty much it and she had to agree, although it wasn't so much for the places that they snogged, rather for the fun factor of nearly getting caught. Well for her it was, who knew what it was for Echo, although from the way they had went at it just the day before, it was probably more for the act of snogging than anything. Although she did snort as her friend made the comment that she couldn't have them running off the last night they were there using the titles they'd be in her soon wedding. "Have I both thanked you and told you you were nuts for making me your maid of honor?" Tanya told her turning to face her with an exaggerated raised eyebrow. Seriously, she was still trying to wrap her brain around the fact that one of her friends was getting married, and now not only was she in the wedding party but she was the freaking maid of honor?! Gods, the way her life was going she'd be a godmother by twenty! Oh crap. Knock on wood, knock on all the wood!
As if he could hear his thoughts (he couldn't right? She knew he took that legilimency class with Gibbs but that didn't mean he could suddenly hear thoughts, right?!) David came by saying that he'd let one of them house-sit for when they were on their honeymoon so they could get some snogging in and then made the comment about them being the best option for godparents. "Yes to the house-sitting but for gods sake let me get out my teens before you even dare try to make me any type of parent!" she told him imploringly. She would knock on the whole fracken forest to keep that from happening. The Gryffindor didn't mention that she really didn't need the option of house-sitting to get alone time with Echo since she'd be making the argument (with both men in her life) to be moving in with him after their graduation. It made sense after all. He was pretty much alone in the house, Gypsy was definitely not about to move back in there and if she did she'd be bringing along Jer and since neither really had any shame he'd be waking up to most awful sounds a younger brother could ever hear. So, for the sole interest of her boyfriend (totally) she would move in with him. The fact that they'd be out of her father's ever watchful eye and that she'd be living in an amazing flipping treehouse was totally secondary. Totally.
Oooooooh I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass (glass, glass) Oooooooh, I try to picture me without you but I can't Uniform ☆ Where: Great Hall ~Gryffindor Table ☆ With: Echo other people ☆ Thinking: So...anticlimactic ☆ OOC

spacePamela snorted at Aster's comment, puffing up her cheeks and placing her hands on her stomach, then pulling them out to mimic a fat belly. "U're 'onna 'ook 'ike' 'is," she said, and then dissolved into giggles, which turned into full on laughter, having to actually clutch her stomach after a moment. She slid a little, and a hand flew out to grab Aster's shoulder to steady herself. Once she was mostly-quieted and back in her seat, she shook her head. "You could always ask them if I can come! I bet we could make it less boring if we were both there!" she chirped, not in the least bit phased by Aster's somewhat violent gesture. It wasn't anything she wasn't used to. When the other girl stuck her tongue out at the upperclassman, Pam followed suit, blowing a loud raspberry for emphasis.
spaceThe Hufflepuff turned back to Aster, expression thoughtful. "Oooor," she said, "I think we're s'posed to go to France sometime this Summer to see Meme and Pepe. Maybe instead of doing some boring educational whatever with them, you could talk them into letting you come with me! And then be like "Mum, Dad, I already did the educational thing, I went to France and observed the cultural differences, you should take me to the beach instead!"" Logically, of course, Pam knew that would most likely not work, but hey, it was an idea, right? And she bet that Meme and Pepe would love to meet Aster! It wasn't like she didn't tell them about her all the time. And they probably had a hundred pictures of the two of them together, both at school functions and just out and about in general. Probably over a dozen of them helping Maman in the bakery alone. She just didn't like to think of her best friend being bored out of her skull at some museum when they could be doing something fun together. Life was not about being bored! Life was about fun! Or, that's what it should be about. Sometimes adults didn't agree with that, but those adults were boring.
