I just joined today. So...is this the right place to post in?...I get nervous when I join new guilds. But...are the slimes from the Mt First Slime thread breedable/interactive/not? And how do you breed?

I'm not sure if the Silky Slimes from the thread are breedable or not. I'm guessing they are though, but I might be wrong about it.

The Silky Slimes from the My First Silky Slime Ordering Thread are not interactive because they do not come with emoticons, so you cannot "change" their moods.

You can find information about breeding in the Breeding Lab thread. Basically, you need two Silky Slimes that can breed. After the thread opens you post the form provided in the thread (filled out, of course xD) and send your trade to the guild mule.
