With minimal effort, Milan adjusted his course to avoid a steal at the hands of the Slytherin Vice Captain. He wasn't sure how anyone else was doing, but at least he hadn't been hit by anything. Pressing forward, a tinge of worry came up at the thought of getting to the goals....

Dang it, she missed! No, Yarrick wasn't going to allow herself to miss a bunch like she had last game. But where to aim? She could go for the seeker, but when she heard Karah scolding Erikk, the younger brunette sent over a frown. No one messed with her family! Zipping to the nearest bludger, Yarrick took aim, hoping to successfully hit Karah.

As Linsey was doing her stretching exercises, she watched the other participants around her. She saw Brianna, a girl she shared classes with, there with her big brother. They talked briefly, before hugging and Ron collecting her mug and heading off towards the stands. She saw the younger Slytherins horsing around in the snow, while Echo was having a private conversation (and maybe more?) with Syd. Linsey glanced over at Yarrick, and hoped she was going to be okay; she’d worked hard to bolster her confidence to try to get her over her fear of the Bludger. ‘Guess we’ll find out if our work paid off. Practice is one thing, today its for real.’
Linsey closed her eyes and tried hard to put herself in a better place mentally for the game. She started singing to herself in a soft, clear voice. “ And you ask me what I want this year, And I try to make this kind and clear, Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days. 'Cause I don't need boxes wrapped in strings, And desire and love and empty things. Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days…” She didn’t even know Milan was there with her until she felt his hand on her shoulder.
She gave him a fragile smile, as he spoke to her, and she said in a soft tone, “I know, I’ll do my best, I just wish I could see the sun. Merlin’s Beard, I would settle for some bit of blue sky. Which reminds me….” She dug into the pouch at her waist, and pulled out the filters which she clipped onto the front of the goggles. The filters would trick her eyes and help her by thinking her surroundings were actually brighter than they were. “There, that’ll help, at least a little bit” she said, feeling at least a little better. “That, and the promise of hot cocoa by the fire with you.”

Milan dodged once more, this time from Brianna. Okay, he could do this. It was time. Taking aim, Milan threw the quaffle toward the goals, hoping he'd regained his mojo.

Ravenclaw was really on their game today, weren't they? Milan was like a man possessed getting to the goals, that Erikk hardly had the time to register it in all the snow.
He did hear Karah's yelling, though. That he could catch from a mile away. "What did you want me to do, scare her worse?!" He called back. Winning by intimidating his little cousin just wasn't something he was okay with. They were fine. They could definitely come back from this, and Erikk would make sure they would even if it landed him under 6 feet of snow and dirt.
Seemed his little pep talk might have worked better than he expected though, because of course it looked like a bludger was headed straight for Brianna. "Son of a b***h." He cursed. If Brianna got hurt in this match, he was sure he'd never hear the end of it... After she got over her next round of silent treatment, anyway.
Erikk sped for the bludger and swung his bat, planning to redirect right back at Yarrick... But he missed! "Damn it! HEY, ÁEDÁN!" One of them had better fix this at least.

Could be going better. It was really hard to see with the snow. Goggles only helped so much.
It sounded like Karah and Erikk were going at it, but he couldn't be bothered to listen in, instead intent on getting to a bludger to target Ravenclaw's seeker. He caught the snitch way too quickly in the last game, so clearly he was the team's largest threat... Though Milan's apparent recovery was proving to be problematic as well. Not to mention Yarrick's steady stream of near-misses was bound to end in a hit sooner or...
Erikk yelled his name. Áedán spun himself right around and went straight for the bludger that was missed. He wasn't sure that he could make it, but if he could... He could! His bat collided with the bludger and smacked it straight at Milan.

It was a block! "WHOO! Nice defense!" Erikk cheered, giving a pump of his fist. Now if that bludger managed to hit the opposite team, even better.
In the meantime, Yarrick deserved some much needed payback. Erikk swooped for the nearest bludger and shot it her way... But the snow was making things harder. Erikk cursed under his breath. Okay, so the extra practices were clearly working for one of them... He had to step up his game.
