Blake nodded his head as acknowledged William, continuing with his food. He had nearly had his fill but the sweets, especially the treacle fudge was all but too tempting. Grabbing a slice with his fingers, he took a small bite. With a full stomach, it was nearly time for him to sleep it all out. Hopefully they can go to the common rooms shortly after this. The common room was still a mystery to the two and gave them a new wave of excitement.

Alex gave a contempt sigh, placing her spoon on her empty plate. The amount of food she had eaten could have sufficed for five starving persons. Never again. Never again would she eat that much. Her stomach had never felt so satisfied but it felt as if she ate one more bite, there was going to be a big mess. Patting her stomach like an old man, she gave it small rub before adressing her brother.
"When do you think we'll be able to go up to the common rooms?" The question was adressed to her brother but it was open to anyone who was in earshot of her. As long as she recieved an answer, she didn't care who it came from.

Her brother shrugged his shoulders. It seemed as if one house was already on their way of going to their own common rooom. It wouldn't be long for they too would be heading to their sleeping quarters. They had a big day tomorrow after all. First day of classes. A smile curled in his lips, excitement erupting from him yet again. Well from the both of them actually. "Not sure, but it probably won't be long." His eyes searched the staff table, trying to see who was their Head of House that would take them to their common rooms.

The boy put his treacle fudge back on his plate. He really couldn't handle anymore. As if their mind worked as one, the twins released a sigh before turning to each other, a giggle escaping their lips.

'An owl would be nice,'Aravis thought as Sam suggested that she get one. They were useful for a lot of things, and they made pretty good compainions from what she remembered of her father's owl. He had a barn owl that seemed to like the name of Hazel. She wondered if Hazel still flew among them.

"Oh no! Not at all! I've actually been rather bored listening to people talk about things that I've been a bit clueless about lately," Aravis replyed. "An owl would be nice. My dad used to have one, I'm not quite certain what happened to Hazel," she added as her voice trailed off. Her stomach growled. Aravis needed food. She took a spoonful of corn and put it into her mouth. It was sweet and salty at the same time. Much like a good cry tasted like to her.

Sam nodded and made a hm sound to acknowledge that Aravis had spoken. Biting into her last bit of fruit tart, she stifled a yawn. It had been a long, stress-filled day. "I wonder when the prefects will take us up to the Gryffindor common room. Isn't that how it works, or do we have to head up there on our own?" she asked Aravis, then thought for a moment. "Wait... isn't there a password? The prefects will probably take us first-years up since we don't know the password yet," she finished, uncertainly. "Right?"

Ashleigh Stood up from the table. She cleared her throat to get everyone at the table's attention. "will the first years please follow me to the common room since our head of house is busy at the moment." She called Her voice was calm and gentle yet held an air of authority that probably surprised the older gryffindors at the table given that the brunette rarely spoke. She made her way down to the end of the table near the entrance and repeated her self the whole way down the table so she did not miss any of the first years. "As for The older members of our house we'll be seeing you guys up there." To take the lead of the first year she was really being serious about coming out of her shell this year. She stood there waiting for the first years to come to her so she could lead them.

First year

Where I am: the Great Hall
I feel: tired

Sam heard the older girl calling the first years as she passed on the other side of the table. Finally, she thought, as she stood up, stepped over the bench seat, and stretched. Then she remembered Tiny. Peeking under the table, she called, "Tiny!" and felt around underneath. Tiny was gone. He must've gone wandering again, she thought, and straightened up. Beckoning for Aravis to follow, she walked down the hall to meet the older girl at the end, waiting for the rest of the first-years to come.

The two peas in a pod looked up at Ashleigh. During this whole time, she barely spoke so it was a surprise to the both of them that she was leading the class of first-years. The two looked closely at her robes, searching for a pin of some sorts but could not find any. How were they going to be able to get in without a password?

The thought lingered in their heads but shook it off. Surely they would get their way in there, one way or another. Ashleigh wouldn't be doing this if she didn't know what to do so the best thing to do is to trust her.

As if they had talked amongst each other, the two got up simultaneoulsy and followed suit. They were the closest things as two people could get without being the same person. Of course they had obviously different facial features. Well sort of. They had similar faces but they each looked either more feminine or masculine depending on their gender. No matter how close they were, they didn't like being mistaken for the opposite gender no matter how much they looked alike. That was just wrong.

Alex looked at another first year, Sam, who had been calling someone, an animal most likely underneath the Gryffindor table. She giggled slightly. There was no intention of being rude or wanting to emberass the girl but she had to admit that it was a rather comdedic scene to witness.

The other looked at the same scene and while he did not laugh, there was a small smile apparent in his face. He found it amusing but didn't look any further. No need to attract attention on someone who didn't need it.

Ashleigh Smiled at the first years as they arrived where she stood waiting for them. When they had all arrived she addressed them again. "follow me please," she said as she turned and followed the other houses out of the great hall.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeUser Image

Tammy sat down at the Gryffindor Table for lunch and was eating happily when there was a loud squawk and Baron flew into the Great Hall with all the other mail owls. He landed in front of Tamara and flapped his wings. In his mouth, he carried a small package. Tammy took it out, rubbing the owl's head and read the letter attached to it.

Dear Tammy,
Remember what I told you over the summer, about those ancient wanted wizards? Well, without your Mom knowing it, I slipped this out of the private library in our room. I want you to read the pages I've bookmarked and study the spells inside. They might just come in handy, should you need to defend yourself. Give your brother, Indala, and Lucy some love from me.
Sincerely, Dad

Tamara patted Baron on the head again and sent him off to return to the owlery.

Tamara tucked the letter and the her father's book into her bag and hurriedly finished her lunch, then drained a goblet of pumpkin juice. She scurried out of the Great Hall towards the Gryffindor Common Room to start reading her new book.

~Fourth Year~

Levana walked to an empty seat and made herself comfortable. After doing so she turned so she could look around at the other tables. It seemed that everyone else was getting along rather well. She still could not locate Charon though. Turning around her eyes stuck themselves to the wood. Last year she had hid herself from everyone and now she felt that she was paying for it. Nevin seemed to have more friends than she did. That thought was actually a bit depressing. Levana quickly shook the feeling away and looked up, eager to great the first years and maybe remake friendships with her own year.

Tamara walked into the Great Hall and over to the Gryffindor table, spotting Levana in the process. She plopped down next to her fellow Gryffindor and smiled at the girl. "Hey Lev! How was your summer?" she asked in a polite, yet excited manner. Idly, she began to fiddle with a lock of her blond hair.

~Fourth Year~

Levana perked up when she saw a familiar face. "It was very busy. Nevin and I spent practically the entire summer studying. Last semester had been...well..bad" she laughed to push away the depression that was pushing forward at the thought of the previous school year. "I hope to do better this year" she said offering a smile.

It made her sad that, despite knowing Tamara, she felt that she didn't know her as well as her brother knew his house mates. She felt a bit alone in her own house, even among her friends. This year she was determined to get to know more of her friends. And to also finally speak with Charon to get his story on why he hated her so. She would not accept a simple "because you are a Gryffindor answer either".

"How about you?" she returned the question.

Preston let out a soft hiss of pain as his feet were stepped on in the rush to get into the great hall. 'Seriously, people! You got plenty of time before the Firsties arrive!' He thought sulking. Slowing down his pace to a slothful saunter and successfully making his way to the Gryffindor table, he proved his point to the world. The brunette stretched his sore arms and then took a seat on the battered, old bench. The lulling carriage ride had resulted in a nap for him, and when he awoke, his arms were in a terribly uncomfortable position. After stretching his arms once more, they returned to normal. The fourth year smiled to himself, very relieved. Oh, the possible mischief that could of been avoided that tonight if they stayed all heavy and sore...

'Should I do the annual first day prank?' Preston wondered. Last year he had lost a lot of points for his house. Part of him wanted to avoid a re-run of last year, while another part, wished to preserve his prankster ways. While his mind ping-ponged a possible change the first years entered. He stayed in his mind fog depsite the noise.
