☽═━┈━┈━═☾ Anyanka Swan Headmistress ☽═━┈━┈━═☾ The Headmistress glided into the Great Hall and moved along the back wall, so as to not interrupt the Sorted. She gave a smile to Zander, her Deputy Headmaster. New lines creased her ever aging face, and a sense of sorrow briefly passed over her eyes. She glanced to the Gryffindor table and caught sight of the blond wizard. William Radcliffe, the younger brother of Tamara Radcliffe, was actively involved in a discussion. She smiled warmly to the boy and glanced to her own table. The Ravenclaw table was a bustle with activity as well, with many new First years Sorted in already. She made her way up to the staff table and took her seat at its center, sitting gracefully on the large chair. Once the Sorting was complete, she would deliver her welcoming speech and the feast would begin. ⇨{Out of Character}⇦

Hair as black as night swung in the balance, in tune with the feverish clicks of her stiletto heel as she marched away from the great double doors of the hall and had blown past the four outstanding tables to the houses of each student appropriate. Sable had been a Beauxbaton’s graduate, and as such, had her fair share of difficulty maneuvering away from her office in search for the Great Hall. She hadn’t missed the sorting, she realized, and a small smile had fluttered upon her lips. She held a fire within her, one of captivation and lust, but, such was the ways of a veela. She, of course, was only one quarter of a veela, and, held none of the surprising downfalls compromised of such. But the illustrious beauty had always been akin to her. She strode with purpose, taking a seat at one end of the hall closest to the Gryffindor’s and, though her appearance was approachable, there was a stoic coldness within her. Prim and proper, she was, without ever a hint of a public display of emotion—or affection.
She was cold, she had been told. But she never believed a word of it, after all, a woman can grieve in her own way. ”Good morning,” Sable Guisely Monroe had murmured, her eyes caught the Headmistress before she finally sat, with perfect posture and hands folded together, and, a plastic smile to tie it all together.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Staff Table Thoughts: '...' ╚══════════════╝ Two more years, Angel realized with a bounce in his step, amplified by the ball in his heels that felt every sensation to skip from one end of the Great Hall, to the next. He didn’t, of course, as that would be ridiculous. But, Angel had always been a ridiculous man. Three years ago, Angel had gone on an expedition through his home country, Spain. One lost map lead to another, and, before he knew it, he had stumbled upon a sacrilegious catacombs closed off to the public. He had counted his blessings, however, when he was found by the Spanish Minister for Magic and had agreed to fill the role of Hogwarts empty alchemy professor. Still, Angel never would have imagined how poorly the British wizard and witches seemed to shrug alchemy as nothing more than an ancient useless branch. He had always expected that he would quit Hogwarts when his community service had finished, but now, he wasn’t so sure. A deeply burning hope had blazed across his mind, one that, knew, he had to aspire more children into his subject. Truly, there’s never been a branch of magic quite like alchemy, which, allows you to explore yourself through and through. With a humbling nod, the professor of alchemy situated himself in his appropriate seat across the Ravenclaw Table.

Eyes of a raven and ears of a hound to hear the snakes in the grass. ╚══════════════╝
The woman sat down lightly on her designated chair, looking upon the masses of students now causing the swell of conversation as they watched the Sorting eagerly and spoke amongst themselves of the summer past and the hopeful expectations. Her brown, unevenly cut hair lay like a curtain on her shoulders and framing her face and her striking green eyes. It was braided in a thick group, but stray strands lay around her freely. Her eyes wandered slowly, scanning the crowd of students of all years and backgrounds mingling among themselves like a pit of snakes. One specific head did not stand out for her as she had expected it to. He eyes ran the course of the Ravenclaw Table thoroughly from end to end, catching no glimpse of the face or character of whom she was looking for through stolen eyes. Letting no sign of her inner frustration and mild confusion translate onto the foreign features, only one eyebrow rose as she seated herself more comfortably, abandoning the search. The small of her back lay lightly against the cushioned seat as she relaxed, turning toward the Sorting with undecipherable boredom.

The image of seeing the line of First Years coming and passing by the test of the Sorting Hat one by one made Hess grin broader and broader with each anxious child. Reactions to their homes of chosen nature varied from relief, confusion, excitement to just blankness as they made their way to their tables hung with their new House Colors. He momentarily tore his eyes away and instead looked at the pre-sorted students of years before. The mass was overwhelming and he found himself wondering whether his years in the school had been just as packed. In his years as student rather than teacher, he had been sorted into the Hufflepuff House. One he never quite expected for himself - then again, he never had much idea what he could go into. He seemed to hold attributes for each of the dual colored Houses. His curiosity and ample eagerness to learn and discover could have found him with the badge of Ravenclaw, easily. His open mindedness and general charisma that gained him the often description of being friendly; a Hufflepuff. His disregard for rules, both scientific and social, along with his pride of family name and wizarding legacy could have easily placed him in either Gryffindor or Slytherin. He remembered these attributes so clearly reflecting in his young mind as he stood then as these first years now stood. He remembered how the realization of how much the Sorting Hat's decision would influence his life made him feel both nervous and reassured as he stepped up to the ancient ceremony as his name was called to the stool. Being a new teacher, with a few faces glancing at him with the gathered observation, he felt exactly the same now as he remembered feeling then. Eagerness as well as anxiety coursing through him as he watched on the student body he now felt a responsibility and a renewed sense of belonging to.

Professor of Alchemy..............Ravenclaw"The cycle of life only goes one direction, not even alchemy can change that." ╔══════════════╗ Location: Alchemy Classroom Thoughts: '...' ╚══════════════╝ The professor of alchemy was callously laidback, his posture and demise had been extended, leaning against the back of his seat upon two legs, his knees against the table to prop him against the effects of gravity. He caught a glance at the next professor’s that had passed him by to take their own seats, only just realizing how many elder professors had retired, and how many more younger eager professors there were to take their place. He also realized, with much disdain, how involuntarily unsocial he had become while nestling himself within the walls of Hogwarts. He had always been content, thumbing through scrolls, diving into depths of pages, and losing himself within the scriptures of alchemical equations… But how long that would last, he could only wonder. It was with that in mind that he had decidedly gyrated his attention towards the silent professor that he immediately realized was new. A carefree flash of a smile lifted his spirits, and provoked those iconic dimples to appear amidst the stubble on his features. ”Ay,” Angel acknowledged her with the spicy accent of his Hispanic tongue. ”You’re new, aren’t you?
“I’m the Alchemy professor, Angel.”

Rian made his way silently to the staff table. Two people he had been very close to were now no longer at Hogwarts. Mira, the girl he had planned to marry had vanished. He believed it to be problems with family back home although he is unsure if such information is true. She had yet to contact him. Then there was Isis. She had left to pursue other lines of work creating a clinic and now left him as head nurse. He would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. Looking around at the table he only saw a few familiar faces. A nod was his only greeting to them before sitting down.(( OOC: Rian has a heavy Irish accent))

Her students had come a long way, growing every year. Making her path to the staff table she took her seat. Smiled in greeting to the other professors. As soon as sorting started she gave the appropriate claps where needed, a bit louder when it was her house of course. She smiled as the last set of students made there way off the school. It was a good year for students. Looking over at her table she smiled as the new additions were complete. Just as she was about to tell the other professors how happy she was of her house, she let her smile drop. " Another year, another fight." She said with a sigh as on of her better students jumped up and punched another in the face. She rose from her seat and made her familiar path to her table of miscreants. ❝Watch out honey, step back❞

ʻHer bone structure screamsʼ
ʻTouch her! Touch her!ʼ
ʻAnd she's got the curse of curvesʼ Katariina made her way to the table, not to long ago she herself was sitting on the bench of her house, loving ever bit of it. Now here she was a few years latter on the other side. A professor to be in fact. She couldn't wait, it was like a dream come true. Teaching others about a world she loved and doing it in a place she never wanted to leave. Other than her home in Helsinki, this was the most constant home she had as a child. A happy smirk on her face she made her way to the table and took a seat. "Hello everyone, I'm Katarinna, you can call me Kat if it's easier. I'm so excited to join you all!" She exclaimed with a smile at her fellow professors. ʻI want someone provocative and talkativeʼ
ʻBut it's so hard when you're shallow as a showerʼ
ʻAnd from what I've heard with skin you'll winʼ

XxX Shawn walked to the table, sitting down and looking at everyone. He did not look over joyed to be there, infact he looked midly ill. He had heard of his brothers issues and he could not unerstand why his family had such issues and had to involve him. He hated when they did..he was disowned, they were not his issue...they were their own. Looking at the others at the table he shook his head. XxX╔══════════════╗ Mood:Irritated. As Tylor took her place at the teacher's table, she felt two things: a rush of excitement and a wave of nausea. The excitement came from her thrill of finally becoming a professor at her beloved Hogwarts. The nausea was from stage fright. 'Pretty stupid to become a teacher if you can't stand people staring at you," her sister had told her months ago. Tylor was beginning to see her point. She greeted her fellow teachers politely, then turned to watch the sorting. She clapped enthusiastically whenever someone was put into a house. Whenever someone was put in Hufflepuff, she felt the very un-teacherly urge to shout "Whoo-hoo!" Underneath her joy at her first sorting as a professor, however, she couldn't shake the nervousness that threatened to engulf her.

☽═━┈━┈━═☾ Anyanka Swan Headmistress ☽═━┈━┈━═☾ With the conclusion of Sorting, Headmistress Anyanka Swan rose from her seat and approached the podium. The owl on the podium spread its wings, ushering the students to be quiet. Once the hall fell into silence, she began. "To all of our new students, I say welcome. To all of our returning students, I say welcome back. Our time spent here together is the most cherished time you will have. Take light in the fact that through our hardest time, solace can be had with a few kind words. And remember students what a wise man once said, he said, 'help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who need it.' And so, with that, we welcome our new students to our ranks and may the Welcoming Feast begin!" As she finished her speech, the food of the Welcoming Feast began. ⇨{Out of Character}⇦

I must regain the honor that I have lost....
By capturing the one
I had sworn to keep ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ As soon as the speech was finished, the giant doors of the Great Hall burst open. The heavy footsteps on stone echo through the suddenly quiet opening feast. The shirtless but still robed man walked down the aisle, stared at by all. The new curse breaking professor made his way through the Great Hall to the staff table. He looked at every person in the room straight in the eye as the tattoo's on his face began to glow a faint orange and he felt the slight burn that he hadn't felt for five years.
The boots he was wearing made the loud noise of his entrance as he stared along the Slytherin Table. Obviously there had been a fight, between the boy with Auburn hair and the blond haired boy. He glared at them both as he made his way up the steps to the staff table, the candlelight reflecting on his bald head. He sat down in a chair at the staff table and clapped his hands together and leaned his chin on them staring at the two boys who had got into the fight. Speaking to no one and only staring.
He was here to find Roi. His alibi was he had to teach curse breaking. Something he didn't mind too much, help prepare these weak British exactly what lies for them in other nations should they ever leave their little town.

Professor Ewan Faing Flying Instructor ≎ Quidditch Referee Location::≾Great Hall - Staff Table≿ Thinking About::≾Let's see what this batch of first years gives us≿ Who I'm With::≾The other professors≿Ewan sat at the staff table, watching the sorting ceremony and sizing up the new first years that were sorted into his house. They seemed a decent lot. His gaze traveled over to Inari every once in awhile, resting admiringly on her face as she watched the first years as well. A disturbance at the Slytherin table tore his eyes from her, and he sighed as he realized once again the year would be starting off rough for his house. Inari stood and made her way toward the table, and Ewan leaned back in his chair as he watched her leave. The two had been living together for a little while now, and he thought in joy how happy he was to be able to wake up with her next to him every morning. Glancing to the side, he saw a face he was unfamiliar with. The woman had blonde hair and a bubbly smile that effortlessly put Ewan on edge. He didn't particularly enjoy overenthusiasm, which this new professor seemed full of. Frowning slightly, he glanced away and over to the Slytherin table to see how Inari had faired.
