So embarrassing. Getting hit in the stomach was no better than the first time it happened, but of course it happened right when he told his teammate to focus. Was that the trend here? Didn't Flick and Erikk hit themselves when they were yammering about something?
Even Tam was telling the beaters to get a grip. Aedan wanted to crawl into a hole and die right there. If he didn't pull it together, he wasn't sure he'd be able to face his boyfriend at the end of this. He took a deep breath and renewed his resolve. As a bludger neared, he slammed his bat into it, hoping this time for a hit against Ron.

With all the Bludgers flying around, Ron knew it was only a matter of time before he was the target of the Snakes' attentions. Sure enough, he felt an iron cannonball slam hard enough into his right leg that he heard bones snap, and pain knifing through him. He grimaced and let out a yelp, as he closed the range on the hoops. 'Better a leg than my shooting arm,' he told himself, as he lined up and took his shot.

Jaelah wondered if this was going to be another hospital wing trip for her friend, or if he would actually walk off the pitch this time.
Mid thought thinking about Erikk - she saw Ron throw the quaffle toward her, toward the hoops. She threw herself to the left to try and catch it.

'Snakes are mocking me, and rightly so. Haven't done anything to make them think this won't be a walkover for them.' He swung his mount around and started to chase after Karah, and try to get another shot at the goals.
