She wasn't sure if it had actually been very long, but when Nora caught sight of the snitch she couldn't stop a, "Finally!" from coming out. Maybe the season was getting to her. Without much thought, she changed direction and began to race toward it.

Mason must have bragged a little too much for his steal as it seemed karma struck in the form of a bludger. "Ffffff – !" he yelled out, bending forward on his broom to try and mitigate the pain he felt in his thigh as he clutched tighter onto the quaffle, determined to hang onto it as Brianna came in for a steal. The lean forward sent his broom faster as well, allowing him to narrowly dodge her.

Although Mason still felt the pain in his thigh, it felt less sharp now, which allowed him to sit back up and focus. As he approached the Slytherin goalposts, Brianna came at him again but this time, it was easier to dodge her. As he dodged, he aimed for the leftmost goalpost, hoping to get past Jaelah.

The fish was out of the net. Echo whipper her broom ninety degrees to the side and pushed her broom down the line she'd made open. She was closer to the snitch. Now she just had to catch it.

It was a bit deflating seeing a Puff Chaser finally slip a goal past their Keeper, and Brianna was having the sneaking suspicion that their window of opportunity to even things up might be closing. Brianna collected the Quaffle from their Keeper, and she tucked it under her arm, and launched herself on yet another try for a goal to even things up.

He cursed under his breath as the quaffle was passed on to Brianna. That absolutely could not happen again.
The strategy now was to get his chasers safely to the goals. He aimed a bludger for Ron, who seemed a likely contender for a steal despite his clearly bad shape. Though Erikk felt bad for causing that, the way he saw it, it would be a mercy to take him out sooner rather than later so he could get some medical attention.
He'd leave his sibling to Aedan. Erikk didn't want to be the one to knock Flick out of the game unless he had to.

Take a breath and try again." ═══════════════════X♫X♒X✿X═══════════════════ Maybe Ivan wasn't meant to be a beater. Maybe he was a touch too nice for brutality, or maybe he was just slow on his broom. Whatever it was, this game was leaving a sour taste in his mouth, points to Hufflepuff or not.
Hoping to redeem himself for yet another failure at defense, he sent a bludger barrelling towards Brianna.

He didn't have time to see if Flick would be able to defend themself, however, as Ivan then came out of left field with an uncharacteristically solid hit towards Brianna. Brianna was leaned in low over her broomstick, as she powered her way across the pitch, and she saw Bludger sail in from in front and above her. The projectile slammed into her right bicep, and she heard the very familiar characteristic sound of her arm snapping like a dry twig.
Gritting her teeth, she allowed only a small hiss of pain to escape, as she wasn't willing to give her opponents the satisfaction of hearing her cry out. She felt blood running down her arm and her hand, and a quick glance gave her cause for concern, as she saw a bulge under the sleeve of her robes that wasn't supposed to be there. 'Dang, this is going like the scrimmage last year. Good thing I've been practicing shooting with my off-hand.'
