She grumbled as she put her book down in the locker room, tied her hair up with a duck hair tie, and went out on the field with the rest of the team. She was a chaser. She chased the ball. She wasn't very GOOD at chasing the quaffle - but she did what she could, she really felt her passion would be better suited hitting things, but maybe she could like, aim for the keeper by launching the quaffle at their face, that could be fun.

 Muggleborn ⚝ Grчffındor Fıfth Yeαr Prefect ⚝ a** Kıcker *¸.✬★*´´☽ Nare knew, just knew, she was late to her first game and she was pissed about what caused it. She'd been on her way-early at that!-when she spotted some shifty looking younger kids holding what she thought were water balloons and attempting to get them down the staircase. Why they didn't shrink them or come up with a better way she'll never know, but since it was her "duty" or some rot she stopped to ask them what this was. But then one of the snots tried to throw one at her and it was PAINT. BLUE. ********. PAINT. The gremlins should be glad none got on her or the tongue lashing she gave them as she dragged them to their head would've been the least of their concerns when she was done. But unfortunately having to collect them, all their balloons, and give a short report, Nare was now late. Great. God responsibility sucked.

Xiang was prepared for this season, with all the teams seeming to need more and more roster changes. After several wonderful players graduated, a lot of students left, but a lot of fresh faces joined in. Luckily, Xiang had gone and watched a few practices from each team, and they all seemed capable. Today was going to be Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, who both had at least one reserve, which was good enough, if the beaters went as wild as last year. Once everyone had made their way to the pitch, Xiang tooted her little whistle and gestured both teams skyward.
She released the snitch, then the bludgers, who started to circle lazily around the pitch, waiting for direction. She grabbed the quaffle, then flew upward as well. "Good afternoon, my little spacelings. Are we ready for a great game today? As always, I want a good, clean match. No cheating, no magic, and no dirty moves. Are we ready?!" Once she got confirmation, Xiang tossed the quaffle up, directly between the two chasers at the front, then backed up to watch the game unfold.

gaia_demonduck Quidditch (chaser) gaia_duck Creature Club gaia_zombieduck ▬▬"A book is a dream you hold in your hand."▬▬ Naomi knew she didn't have much of a chance to swipe the quaffle from someone else once they got it, everyone else was more experienced in this. She had to get it first, heck, maybe if she did super well at getting the quaffle, the other beaters would aim for her, and she would be able to stay in the hospital wing the rest of the weekend reading. She dover for the quaffle.

Skyla watched the chaser battle, where Roxie got absolutely swiped from. Okay, no problem. At least Zack seemed to be on his game. Skyla drew a breath, taking off to try and locate the snitch. Hopefully she'd have a good game and be able to beat Syd once more.

The match was underway, and Naomi had the ball. Linsey gave a whoop of encouragement to the younger player, as their first drive from scrimmage started. She saw a Bludger sail toward the First Year Chaser, and Yarrick attempted to send it toward Zack, with attempted being the keyword, and the Bludger still arrowing in on Naomi.
Linsey launched herself in an effort to block the inbound Bludger. She wasn't going to get involved in the Knapp-on-Knapp warfare, but she was willing to make things interesting for Skyla, while hopefully buying Syd time to spot the Snitch.
