Paige Cook first year ║ gryffindor Paige smiled. "It's awesome to meet you, Allyse!" she said. She was kind of sad there weren't any new male Gryffindors, since her experience with girls thus far in life had been unsatisfactory. Still, these girls definitely didn't seem as bad as some of the girls at her old school. She didn't know them enough for an accurate or in-depth read on their personality, of course, but neither seemed stuck-up or reserved. They both seemed excited, like her, and Paige thought that maybe, they could all get along quite well. And if it were true, and all Gryffindors were truly brave and adventurous at heart--well, then, Paige thought she could see them having all kinds of adventures together. "I'm starting to think I'll never find my way around," Paige admitted. "My mother bought me a book when we went to Diagon Alley-- Hogwarts, A History I think. Anyways, she was hoping I'd read it, since none of us knew anything about the school, but I only read under duress. So I'm pretty lost." Paige wrinkled her nose. To be fair, she had attempted to at least skim over the book and gain some surface knowledge; but the writing was so dry and boring that anytime she tried, she feel asleep within minutes.

I'm trying to enjoy my solitude." He put his head down again and sighed heavily. His stomach rumbled and he quietly wished the food would appear already.

~ Mia Kyree//First Year//Gryffindor ~ Mia had been planning on drawing a map of the schoo, as she went through it, but after seeing how big it is she had second thoughts. If she could draw a map of just the areas she had been, that would be an accomplishment! "I just got the stuff I needed, 'cause I just went to Diagon Alley alone because my parents arnen't witches or wizards. And I just traded some of my pocket money in or wizard coins, so I had just enough money."Mia's parents had wanted to go, and Mia wanted them too, but they had an emergency check up needed for a dog that had been run over by a truck.

"Huh? What? I didn't do anything to him. Why, is he broken again?" She got up from the bench and sat on the other side of Will, poking him in the side. "What's up, chicken butt?"

яεġrετ┃ηστнιηġ ♦ ғεαя┃ησ σηε ♦ ταkε prιdε ιη┃εvεяyτнιηġAs Colton stepped down from the stool and replaced the sorting hat, little was told of his inner-emotions as he headed towards the cheering table of Gryffindor students. On the inside, he couldn't say that he was surprised, after all, his mother had belonged to the same house. However, because of his wide-ranging personality, Colton honestly had little to no idea which house he would belong to until now.
Greeting his new house-mates with a short bow and a the hint of a smile, he took a seat about a third of the way down the long, wooden bench. His gray eyes swept quickly over the table's contents: scattered decorations, a silver platter, and a large goblet of a similar design. His stomach growled at the idea of a feast, but he moved his attention along quickly, his eyes grasping hold of a few of the surrounding students before returning to the front of the hall, very interested to see where Phi, Ronyon, and even Blaire would end up.

xrunnin', runnin' from those days Rayne smiled broadly at hearing her house. She had made it into the house she only dreamed of being a part of. She gave the man who put the sorting hat on her head a grateful look full of gratitude and excitement. Once the hat was pulled off she bounded from the ledge and towards her new housemates. She was greeted by many warm smiles and welcomes as she sat down. This time she watched raptly as the rest of her classmates got sorted. She really hoped Stanley got the same house. He deserved it she couldn't help but think. He seemed really sweet. xthere's another war inside me i guess i've gone insane

Levana hurried to her table. She could see her father smiling at her from the staff table and it turn it brought a smile to her own face. Pride flowed through her mostly thanks to the shining prefect badge on the chest of her robe. When she got to her table she remained standing and looked at everyone. A few were familiar and a few were new.
"Hello everyone and welcome first years. I am Levana Asphodel to those of you who dont know me. If you have any questions you can ask me or anyone you are close to." she said with a beaming smile on her lips. After her small introduction she sat down next to Bea.

яεġrετ┃ηστнιηġ ♦ ғεαя┃ησ σηε ♦ ταkε prιdε ιη┃εvεяyτнιηġColton produced a short-lived smile for the upperclassman who introduced herself as Levana. He eyed her prefect badge appreciatively before nodding his introduction. "Colton Raines. It's a pleasure to join your family." He was both referring and speaking to the wave of Gryffindor students that surrounded him.
As he began to study their gold and scarlet uniforms, his attention was grabbed by the sorting hat shouting Ronyo's name, and he turned to watch excitedly, expecting his new friend to join him at his table. Colton raised his thick eyebrows in response to the sorting hat's shout of "Slytherin!" He understood how Blair had found himself that definition, and could have possibly made sense of it had it been him approaching the long table of silver and green, but Ronyo? Granted he had only met him just under an hour ago, and surely there was much he hadn't been able to read...more than he had assumed, apparently.
Giving the boy an encouraging smile as they made eye contact, he dove further into the traits of Slytherin, and found that maybe Ronyo represented the small percent of purely ambitious and honorable students that were put in the house of Salazar Slytherin. He hoped this was so, and actually perked up a bit, knowing Ronyo might have a chance at curving the abundance of negativity commonly shot their way.
Turning back to the front of the hall, he caught sight of Phi's burning red hair as she took a seat at the Ravenclaw table, bringing him to actually chuckle as their eyes met - she was the perfect fit. Intelligence had radiated from the girl's every pore during his short time spent with her, and though he had hoped she would be at his side to enjoy the feast, he couldn't help but smile at her precise representation of the most popular Ravenclaw characteristic.

Ⓐⓡⓐⓥⓘⓢ Ⓡⓞⓢⓔⓝⓣⓗⓐ A Charming Lionness ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Aravis watched as the Sorting Ceremony began. There were a few more than the year before, though the year she liked best was her's. She clapped politely as each student was sorted, but there was more feeling when a student joined the ranks of Gryffindor. "Hi everyone!" the girl smiled at all of her Housemates, not just the new ones. "Welcome to Gryffindor First Years. I'm Aravis Rosentha," she said as she faced the new people. She was silent for a moment before realizing that Levanna had made Prefect. "Hey, Levanna, congratulations." The girl smiled. Levanna was pretty nice from what she had seen. She deserved it. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Ⓣⓗⓘⓡⓓ Ⓨⓔⓐⓡ Ⓖⓡⓨⓕⓕⓘⓝⓓⓞⓡ

"Thank you Aravis" Levana said smiling brightly. She looked about her searching for other new Gryffindors. She smiled again when she saw her father up at the staff table. Despite the fact he was not speaking with anyone he still seemed happy instead of lonely. Turning back to the table she decided to try and start some conversation. "So how was everyone's break?" She asked cheerfully.

Ah! A new year at last! New students, new professors... And, of course, someone needed to welcome the newest family members! Obviously, as Head of House and Groundskeeper, Eleanor had completed her task, since she had the opportunity to introduce herself, and meet the future residents of Hogwarts. Sir Nicholas, however, only could encounter them by roaming in corridors, or scaring them during the start-of-term banquet. So it was time to have a pleasant chat with the newest members of the proud Gryffindor House.
Swiftly floating across the empty halls of the castle, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington let out a weary sigh, pondering over the past couple of months. Summers were always the same. What can he do, after all? A ghost's life can be so dull, alas! And, as expected, the pigheaded Headless Hunt declined his request to join once more! How outrageous! He felt humiliated. It was, indeed, foolish! Is it his fault that his head hasn't been cut off properly? Only a half inch of skin! With muffled fury, the specter lifted his chin up and passed through the kitchen wall, giving a solemn nod to those who taken notice of his misty figure. Hovering up, Nicholas passed his head through a plate of untouched chicken wings and glanced around with surprise. Aren't these...Hufflepuffs...? Gah! Wrong table again! "My sincere apologies," he told the very few students that had noticed him. He began to glide to the Gryffindor Table, a smile gracing his silvery pale lips, "Ah, Miss Cardon, Miss Asphodel and Miss Rosentha! A deep pleasure to see you here again," he exclaimed happily as he noticed the three familiar faces seated near the first years, "I hope you did have an excellent summer!" he added brightly before approaching the little group of first years placed at the edge of the table, "Welcome to Gryffindor!" he beamed at him welcomingly, bowing, "I am named Sir Nicholas," he introduced himself with a pinch of pride in his masculine voice. However, he avoided telling them the nickname he had earned throughout the years. Nearly Headless Nick. Bah! How rude.
