Stella was confused when the fifth-year girl told her not to be rude. "He is my brother, you know," she clarified, wondering if this girl understood that. She wouldn't be that nasty to any other first year, but it was different when you had grown up under the same roof...and had to deal with each other's habits for years. And Marco had quite a lot of irritating habits. "I'm Stella Forsyth, by the way," she introduced herself, not knowing the older girl, as she had been absent as long as Stella had been at Hogwarts. Stella was a bit irritated by the Ronyo boy. He seemed quite full of himself. Just like me as a first year, Stella thought to herself. She wondered if her over-confidence in her own opinions had been that grating two years ago, when she first sat down at the Slytherin table. In any case, she was glad when Dante addressed his dungeon question, because Stella was too distracted to continue chit-chatting. Not just by Aster, but also by the action at the front of the hall; it was finally Marco's turn to be Sorted. As the hat confidently announced him for Gryffindor, Stella chuckled. "Just where he belongs," she muttered dismissively. She had noticed earlier that Charon's sister Daisy - at least that's what she assumed from their shared surname - had been placed into Gryffindor as well. But Charon didn't seem upset. That surprised Stella; like most Slytherins, she had never been a fan of their rival house. Indeed, her brother's placement in Gryffindor perfectly exemplified the divide between the two Forsyths. Great Hall/ Slytherin TableRonyo Storm - Slytherin First Year
As Dante addressed Ronyo opinionated statement about the placement of the dormitories he nodded an honest understanding. Let your actions define you not the actions of others, or in this case the actions of an entire house. It was said one bad apple could spoil the bunch, for a moment Ronyo wondered if the reverse could be true for people.
"True," Ronyo said to Dante, "they do say location is everything though, especially in battle. While those don't happen as often as people might think one could also say that life was a battle."
Watching more of the students get sorted one by one Ronyo noticed the large sum going to Gryffindor. Each time one was sent to the crimson and gold table Ronyo clapped for that meant another boy or girl who had courage or honor tucked away somewhere within them. Sometimes it was right on the surface like with Colton, other times it was buried and needed help getting out.
"Good lot those Gryffindors, I've heard many a grand tale coming from former members of that house. My mother was a Gryffindor, she always spoke with pride when she talked of her days at Hogwarts and her friends under the banner of Sir Godric."

Ⓒⓐⓢⓢⓘⓤⓢ Ⓑⓐⓡⓡⓘⓝⓖⓣⓞⓝ A Sly Snake ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Cass felt a bit jealous as Adele mentioned that she travelled abroad a lot. If only he could be son lucky. He never got to go anywhere. Not that he'd want to with his family. "Ah, never really travelled that much," he admitted. "Hey now! Cass exclaimed as he heard the First Years talking about how they wished they weren't Slytherins. "We're not all bad people. Yeah, there are a few, well more than a few bad eggs that have come from us, but we're not all terrible people." the prefect shook his head. They would get used to it, just like he did. "Now you sir, are terribly mistaken about Slytherins. I don't try getting into situations or encouaging them unless I see some fun in it. It's the same with my girlfried and she's a Ravenclaw, so you know I'm not that terrible. You don't have to be mean. Cunning? Yes. Mean? If that's what you want, then go ahead," Cass said with a slight tone of kindness in his voice to the boy who said that he should have been a Hufflepuff. (Drake) 'Why would anyone pick them over another house? They're not exactly known for much, and as dark as our reputation may be, we're still well known for something,' he thought to himself. As he was thinking, he thought about how unhappy he had been to be put in Slytherin at first. Gwen had been a good friend of his before they even started school, and she had somehow gotten sorted before he. He felt glad for her, knowing that she had been placed in Ravenclaw. After all, their exploits worked only so well because of her. Cass waited for a few more names, all the while hoping to be put with her only to be put in Slytherin. He hated being a Slytherin for the first year or so, but then he grew to love it. He was even a prefect now, so he really couldn't say that much against his House. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Ⓢⓘⓧⓣⓗ Ⓨⓔⓐⓡ Ⓢⓛⓨⓣⓗⓔⓡⓘⓝ Ⓟⓡⓔⓕⓔⓒⓣ

==== ☠ ==== мira ====☠==== Mira strolled up to the table. She had made sure all the first years made there way and didn't try and sneek about. Moving over to the other slytherin prefect in her year, she took a seat next to cass. "Hey now speak for yourself now. I'm a bucket of trouble and I love every moment of it." Mira added nudging Cass. "I do what I please when I please. It's my way of life." Mira added with her smirk in place. "Hello firsties! I'm Mira, Slytherin sixth year, Quidditch Captain, and Prefect! You can call me your Majesty." She added laughing. "But really, its not so bad being in with all the bad guys. I mean hey the dark side has cookies right?" She added pulling out some punkin pasties from the train and putting them on the table for all. She checked the table to see who they had so far. Not a bad bunch. Some might even be fair fliers and get on the team. She need some more players. Translations{...}

Slip out the back before they know you were there
and at the worst you'll see nobody cares, you don't want to be around when it all goes down... William Dante Nott the Third
The gently loose tendrils of Tay's auburn hair had barely the moment to become frizzled under the hat's wide brim, because before it truly could come to a rest, the hat boomed, and the table of green and silver erupted into gyrated appluase. In the distance, while Tay hopped off the edge of the stool with his short, four foot eleven inch stature, and began on his descent towards the table blazoned in emerald. Odd, Tay noted as he observed Drake and the hint of tears that had cascaded from his cheeks. Which only began to further Tay's wonderment on the boys sexual orientation, at least, when he turned to his cousin Blaise, he asserted the dominance his appearance greatly lacked. And to be honest, Tay had never been one for solace, for comfort, or any of the sorts, he can't understand the emotions, let alone, try to recreate them.
"Looks like I'm not so bloody cursed, after all," Tay commented, a feigned smile fell upon his lips that instance once he maneuvered down the long stretch until he neared Blaire, and the company that he kept, which by the looks of it, were upperclassmen. "Aye?" Tay took a seat opposite his blonde cousin.
Just like everyone else, he saw fit to remind himself as he washed his golden gaze over the small crowd, setting upon his intensified rays of the sun over each, one by one. "A pleasure to meet you all," Tay robotically began, "-William Dante Nott, but, enough with the formalities, right? Wha's the best thing to eat around here?" Young, Tay still harbored slight disregards for the fashion of being 'pristinely pureblood,' though they were his superior, he wondered if the fact would at all slide into the background with his apparent nonchalance for the entire ordeal. Hopefully it would be thought as refreshing, compared to the sucking up some students managed. To which a glance was sent towards the blonde relative, Blaire, but even he managed to be sly about it all.

No matter how fast I run
Dante's expression never changed but inside he cringed. These first years were pissing him off. At least most of them were. He had tried to be civil and just let them be. He thought that he better make friends before enemies then make the cuts later but this was just to much. One had even said the Gryffindor's were a "good bunch". How could the hat place such people in this house. It was disgusting and disappointing to see them like this. He felt that as the years progressed and children were exposed to the more modern world and it's way of thinking that eventually the whole of this house would vanish.
Now he wanted to leave early as he had done so many times before. His eyes searched the Ravenclaw table for Xenos. Perhaps if he could catch his attention he could somehow convince him to leave with him. If he stayed here any longer he felt he'd be a danger to all the little first years. A few he wanted to talk to later, a few he just wanted to eliminate all together.
While this was cycling through his head he greeted the newer members of Slytherin. He knew he'd never be able to change their minds without doing something drastic. Perhaps Lord Voldemort did have something right when it came to the fear tactic. In Dante's own rise to power he never wanted to resort to that mans tactics. He wished to be liked not feared, but if push came to shove he would resort to some of the brilliant wizards old ways. As he thought of this his eyes turned from Xenos as they had gone from a begging to a sinister look in a rather quick amount of time. He forced a small smile on his face and looked at Charon, hoping he'd understand his thoughts.

Blaire eyed the table's inhabitants as he engaged in idle chatter with some of his fresh-sorted peers. As his cousin approached the table, the blonde congratulated him with a simple nod. In his inspection, Blaire noticed that Dante appeared to be a stickler for posture, and also picked up a less-than-impressed sentiment toward the first-years. In an attempt to gain the upper-classman's favor, he gradually attempted to straighten-up unnoticed as he continued his casual conversations. Blaire remained hard at work recruiting "friends." Unlike most children his age, whose concern was making real friends and having fun, Blaire's only interest was to excel, and information was key to gaining power over people.

Gotta see some sort of benefit for ourselves of course!"he exclaimed as he nuged Mira right back. "Now as far as the cookies go, I'll take one," the boy added as he took one of the pumpkin pasties the other prefect in his year had laid out for their fellow Slytherins. Cookies were definately one of the bright sides to being in the house known for the dark side. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Ⓢⓘⓧⓣⓗ Ⓨⓔⓐⓡ Ⓢⓛⓨⓣⓗⓔⓡⓘⓝ Ⓟⓡⓔⓕⓔⓒⓣ

No matter how fast I run
From the corner of his eye and throughout the whole conversation Dante had noticed that one particular first year, Blaire seemed to be studying him now and then. It amused him when he saw the boy slowly straighten his own posture as he chatted away with the rest of his year. This caused him to chuckle lightly. At least this one, no matter how odd it may seem, seemed to have some ounce of Slytherin pride in him. He was one of the few that he was interested in conversing with later on. The more he knew the better. He decided now would be a perfect time to "show off" in front of all these firsties.
"aaaahhssshshaaaaassssaaaaaahhhhsss" he hissed in parsel tongue to his fellow fifth year Charon. He kept himself from showing an impossibly wide smirk. The fact that he and his friend were the only ones within this house that spoke it gave him more pride than most other things he possessed.

Great Hall/ Slytherin TableRonyo Storm - Slytherin First Year
As the sorting ceremony began to die down the feast had also slowly begun to ramp up for everyone around the group. Ronyo took note of the ones around him once again trying to deduce what he could from them all.
Blaire was easy enough for Ronyo to understand, but in turn what he understood was that the boy was deeply complex and deceptive. In terms of the green and silver mascot Ronyo thought the way Blaire seemed to be talking and looking to gain multiple attentions from those of her year and higher, the idea of a snake did not enter Ronyo's mind but more like a Hydra. Multiple heads looking for multiple angles of interest and chances and possibilities for gain. If Ronyo had any hopes of tactically overcoming Blaire he would need a better understanding and also the resolve to stay true to his heart and aspire to be like the house he had hoped to be placed in.
The one who had been crying, Drake Ronyo thought he remembered the name from the sorting was an unusual one indeed. Most of the eleven year olds in the first year were odd enough but this one seemed to be likely full of emotions children of their years likely were not suppose to understand or posses yet. He did notice the odd change in the boy's eyes though, which almost acted like a mood ring of sorts.
Dante the one who seemed to continually hold his posture and also had just displayed his gift for the split tongue language. If the boy did not scream Slytherin at that point nothing else would. Ronyo had no aptitude for the hissing language but he had a good idea it was a reference about the first years, but it was only a guess. The boy also seemed to not thoroughly approve of the new additions to the Slytherin house. He did not miss the feeling that some of that was indeed direct towards him. The boy was quiet though and likely was an upgraded version of Blaire, minus the question of gender.
The one down a ways who Ronyo thought he heard a name mentioned, Chase...no it was Cass. He seemed to be relatively laid back but over all accepting of the somewhat darker traditions of the Slytherin house. He at least would likely be more accepting but then Ronyo did not have that much to go on yet.
The one with the cookies known as Mira was more open about her darker side, as she called it. She seemed relatively easy enough to read for the way she acted and spoke to those around her. Oddly enough Ronyo did not have an appetite at that moment, the reason did not escape him. That brought a chuckle to the boy as he gave another sigh and turned himself back to the actions of his new house.
