✖✗ρandora †horne✖✗ ✖✗✖Herbology Professor✖✗✖ ✖✗✖✗Head of Hufflepuff✖✗✖ "Oh, you know, the old House stereotypes. Gryffindors are the good guys, Slytherins are the bad guys, Ravenclaws are the nerdy condescending types, and Hufflepuffs are the ones who don't do anything. Not a bit of truth in them. Why, look at history! Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor, yet he served Voldemort!" Pandora exclaimed.
She decided she should calm down. Enough was enough. "Though perhaps I am being a bit foolish," she said softly. "Apparently, one cannot make jokes anymore." She was trying to hide her embarrassment.
Listening to the two new professors talk, she got a smile on her face. "Honestly, I don't think I would've been much good with plants either, had my mum not been a herbologist. I think I would've drifted toward music and likely never be able to raise a single living thing." The hardest thing to be is true to oneself.

Former Ravenclaw Grayson looked a bit sheepish as he realized he hadn't properly introduced himself to the two who had joined the table. "Not every stereotype is wrong, though. I myself have been called nerdy on too many occasions to count. Mostly because I go on and on and on with history." He managed to stop himself before he started in on the subject. "Grayson Powell, professor of History of Magic. Never been called condescending, though..." He looked back over to Kendrick. "I figure we'll probably figure out our teaching styles ourselves. I myself don't plan on teaching the same way Professor Binns did, if for no other reason I don't want half the class to sleep through lecture."

Wizard LawKendrick rolled his eyes, his smile widening slightly. "I agree, but I try not to put too much stock in stereotypes. There have been some less than brilliant Ravenclaw turnouts over the years..." His thoughts turned to the somewhat-illustrious Gilderoy Lockhart. At the request of several coworkers, he'd picked up Magical Me on a trip to Diagon Alley once. Kendrick considered the decision the death of at least a fifth of his mind. "I should hope that students won't sleep through your classes," he said to Powell. "As long as you are passionate about your subject, the students with matching devotion to it will come forward."

ʻHer bone structure screamsʼ
ʻTouch her! Touch her!ʼ
ʻAnd she's got the curse of curvesʼ Katariina smiled as the man chocked over the name."Don't I feel special. Though I'm glad I made an impression." She said with a giggle and crossed her legs. Taking a peak under the table at the large canine. She put her hand down and let him smell her hand. "Not at all, I am the resident Muggle Studies Professor. Glamorous right?"She announced gesturing at herself. She had that carefree attitude like she always had. Turning herself slightly, she got a good look at the man he had become. "Well what about you and your furry friend here? What position are you filling?" She asked taking in the curve of his lips. They were just as tempting as when they where students here. She remembered the year he started talking to her. She had to do a mental shake to make sure she heard his response. Leaning over slightly closer to him to grab the pitcher, she pored herself a drink as well and placed it back. Now with drink in hand she took a drink, wetting her lips. ʻI want someone provocative and talkativeʼ

WHERE am I? - - - HOW am I feeling? - - - WHO am I with? - - -"That y'eh certainly did," Aiden agreed, nodding his head nostalgically as he again took in Katariina's presence, making no effort to be discreet as he let his eyes wallow over her body before lingering on her flawless face.
It was several long moments before the Gryffindor had realized that the woman had not quit talking. "Ah, Muggle Studies. That is glamorous, indeed." Again, he let his roots soak into his words, smothering them in a velvety, Irish lilt without letting on any hint of sarcasm.
Aiden smiled sheepishly as Katariina referred to Harley as his "furry friend," which coincided with a low, irritated growl from under the table. He let out a bit of friendly laughter as he nudged the wolf with his foot, then reached for his goblet of whiskey and pumpkin juice and downed the entire mixture.
"Well," he began, his gaze now resting on the marble floor between his seat and hers, "Harley and I are Hogwarts' newest caretakers. Actually, it's Harley that'll be doin' most of the work. I guess y'eh could say I'm just his assistant, really." Aiden's grin held its place as his deep green eyes moved to Katariina's face again, trying not to linger on any one feature for too long. He didn't have to work to hold back his laughter; being a smart a** had become second nature to him. Harley was apparently pleased with his last comment, because he leisurely rubbed his head against the man's leg before resting his head on his boot.“Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”- William Shakespeare

Pandora Thorne Head of Hufflepuff Herbology InstructorPandora was watching the Sorting ceremony with a slight bit of interest when she heard a commotion coming from her House's table. She looked to see several of the students looking panicked and one of the girls lying on the ground. Pandora's heart sank. "What in the world?" she said to herself as she got up and went over to the Hufflepuff table. {OOC: I wanted to post, and my layout's being a pain. Exit to Hufflepuff Table}

ʻAnd she's got the curse of curvesʼ Katariina couldn't help but smirk. That fiery passion in her started to turn and she got a little saucy as she tended to do."Assistant huh? Well if I knew they came as cute as you, I would have signed up for one years ago." She pulled out her little flash and added it to her drink to give it a bit more a kick. It was the same flask she'd had since her 4th year at Hogwarts. She was quite the party girl in her day."So Harley, what do you say, do I make the cut as good company?"She asked before taking a big gulp of her new improved drink. A warmth spread through her as it went down her throat, making her tongue heavy and her body hot."Just like the good old days."She said out loud though to herself. Seeing Aiden made her think of her days as a student and the trouble she'd caused. Those were good years. ʻI want someone provocative and talkativeʼ

Proffesor Charles Booney........ But call me Booney Proffesor of Music // Former Hufflepuff // Former Quidditch Captain Charles walked into the Great Hall and slowly made his way to the Staff Table. He sat in his seat and smiled his giant smile at everyone."Sorry I am late, what have I missed," he said and stretched his arms. He was wearing his famous burnt orange t-shirt and The Big Kahuna caki pants. His feet had beach sandles on and sand was coated on his them.

☽═━┈━┈━═☾ Anyanka Swan Headmistress ☽═━┈━┈━═☾ The Headmistress hurried into the Great Hall, her long dress trailing behind her. She appeared out of breath as she moved up the center of the Great Hall, passing by Inari Evernight with a nod to her Deputy Headmistress. She moved up to the podium, which extended its wings, ushering the Great Hall to silence. "I am truly sorry I'm late students. I was held up with other matters. First, I'd like to welcome all of our old students back to Hogwarts. All of your Professors are sure to be happy to see your faces again. I know I am. To the new students, I say welcome all. Savor these years here at Hogwarts as they will be some of the best years of your life. I'd like to remind all students that the Forbidden Forest is off limits to all students. Now, let the welcoming feast begin!" As the Headmistress finished her speech, there was a popping sound at each table as the food appeared en masse on the table. ⇨{Out of Character}⇦

Wizard LawKendrick stood up as the feast began wrapping up. To be honest, he had been anxious to get back to the lesson plans he had spread out in his office. "Well, it's certainly been a pleasure meeting and talking with you all," he said, inclining his head slightly to the faculty he had met. "I'm sure I'll be seeing more of you throughout the year in the staff room. And Powell," he added, turning to the history professor. "You are more than welcome to sit in on my classes. The first lecture in my third year class concerns the Second Wizarding War in a way, I think you may find it interesting."With that, he bowed to the group, and made his way back to his office. Perhaps he ought to send an owl to Millona...

Grayson stood when the other professors were leaving the staff table. "I should get to work too. Still have to finalize some things for my classes. And thanks, Gavin, I think that if I'm not busy, I'll be happy to sit in." With that, he left the staff table, thinking on the book he had been reading last.

WHERE am I? Sorting feast HOW am I feeling? On top of the world WHO am I with? A certain someone"Congratulations," Aiden told her as his cheeks flared to life against a lively red backdrop." "Not many women have b'en successful in makin' m'eh blush." The uncharacteristic color that had invited itself to his sun-tanned cheeks was already beginning to take its leave, but short visits are often the most enjoyable.
Nevertheless, a brilliant smile was left knocking at his door as Katariina addressed his wolf while turning her own drink up a notch with a splash of liquid confidence from a flask of her own. Coincidence or fate?
Luck.
Downing the rest of his improved pumpkin juice and already feeling the warm consequence, the ex-Gryffindor straightened himself in his seat as the Headmistress made a quick introductory speech, officially turning the sorting into a feast. Perhaps it was just him, but he had always felt that the second half of this ceremony was the better of the two.
"Well I can't speak f'er Harley," he began, finally responding to the woman's minute-old question as piled a tower of mashed potatoes onto his plate next to a stack of turkey. "But I would certainly say so, darlin'. Holding her eyes in his for an unneccessary length of time, Aiden let his accent drip thickly into his words, diluting their meaning with his natural wit and well-practiced charm before reaching for a boat of gravy.“Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”- William Shakespeare
