spaceSomehow, failing to steal from his girlfriend was simultaneously more and less annoying than failing to steal from anyone else. Though, he leaned more towards 'more' when she managed to score a goal. Damn. Well, he was sure Lexine was doing well enough. Not that he could pay much attention to her. He sighed, catching the pass from Timothy and taking off for the Gryffindor goals. Well, hopefully he'd be better at hanging onto the ball than he had at trying to get it in the first place.

: Tanya Whitethorne Roll: 19 (+1) =20 (Failure) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The bludger slammed into her left shoulder blade when she failed to hit it, causing Lola to wince in pain, and think 'so much for not hitting myself'. Rubbing her shoulder she surveyed the game, and then taking advantage of a nearby bludger, hit it towards Tanya who seemed to be the biggest concern of the Gryffindor chasers at the moment-especially since she just scored a goal.

Pru was beyond mortified from the last game. She hadn't even played her first game as captain and keeper. Bloody nerves. Instead, their first year reserve had had to play in her place, and though she hadn't actually gotten to see the game, she'd heard enough. Regardless of everything else, they needed to all individually step up their game here. No one was going to be carrying anyone else's weight. That didn't change the fact that she'd managed to let her entire team down their very first game. Most of all, she was furious with herself. "Hi Joel," she said as calmly as she could manage. : ____/_____ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lola stepped on the field to see two Gryffindors and Eli from her team on the field already. She gave a small nod to the Gryffindors as she stepped beside Eli, biting her lip ever so slightly. She wanted a good showing this game and they had already lost one game, too. Hopefully they did better this game against Gryffindor. Regardless, she needed to give the Gryffindor seeker and chasers as much trouble as possible she already knew.

Dani wasn't at all sure how to anticipate today's game between the Lions and the Ravens. It wasn't going to be easy one, not when Lexine was a much more experienced Seeker than she, they had a solid core of Chasers, and Tanya's brother was Keeper. Oh, and her ex-boyfriend was a Beater and likely would spend the day chucking Bludgers her way. Yeah, wasn't this going to be fun.
Not wanting to be one to cause issues with the team, Dani kept her mouth shut about how the last game went. She didn't exempt her own efforts from the list of issues. The team wasn't just bad, it was Chudley Cannons bad. She played horribly, even if she was busted up from being struck by Bludgers, Dani wouldn't use injury as an excuse for her own poor performance. Pru had gone missing early on, leaving Dante to finish the game for her. The Chasers hadn't done much, and Gryffindor's Beaters were a complete non-factor for most of the game. But rather than vent her ire, after getting out of Hospital she kept her peace, and let Pru and Joel perform whatever damage control they felt was needed.
If they didn't play better this time, Dani wasn't holding out much hope they'd win this game, much less the next one against a veteran Slytherin team.
'If I end up as Bludger Bait today, this game won't be long in deciding,' thought Dani, as she took the pitch. "Hi, Pru," she said, with a smile and cheerfulness she didn't really feel, but for the good of the team she knew she had to be positive.

Lexine walked out onto the pitch behind Lola, joining the two Ravenclaw beaters already on the pitch. She hoped that Gryffindor's last game had worn out their Seeker a bit...of course, it wasn't like Lexine had been very lucky on the pitch these last two years... She had to admit, she was a little pleased that this was her final year because of the s**t luck she'd had.
