Blob blobbed around happily and bounced into Slush. Slush bounced away. A bit further, Sparkle and Flame were bouncing around together. Domo was peacefully eating a flower. The others were all bouncing around happily.

I think the batch of standard colors I'm gonna order is gonna be...like cats. Not like ears-and-tails or anything, just like actual pets instead of little squishy people. They could be...WILD slimes. surprised

Osmosis actually makes sense. A "mouth" formed in the membrane used to grab the food item, which is then dissolved by natural acids in the Slime's body or something.

As for talking, it's been determined that Slimes are very squeaky/chirpy/whatever critters. It would require a rather complex manipulation of one's physiology if the Slimes are indeed mouthless critters, but by squeezing air through the "mouth" appropriately it may be possible to create an extensive range of squeaks and chirps and whatnot. It is within reason to assume (and, has been made all but obvious in the RPs) that what we hear as squeaks is them talking to each other, we simply don't understand what the squeaking means.
