- ■ Why were they all forced to study stars and stuff. Was this going to prepare them for one day conquering another planet? No. Karah TRIED to learn all the things there were to know, but it was hard to keep things that weren’t tangible here straight.
xxxCHARMS ~ EExxx
- ■ Karah overall did well on the Charms exam for the written portion. However, she struggled in the levitation spell - she temporarily forgot the spell name. Once remembering, she could barely levitate anything, not bad but she got there.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Oxxx
- ■ DADA was the closest class to creatures of another planet. Karah loved studying about the Grindylows, the Doxies, and when she had to diesel with the boggart she felt the darkness settling in. A quick thinking of it turning into a lightsaber and killing itself brought laughter to Karah.
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ EExxx
- ■ Sometimes, Karah would pretend the plants they dealt with in Herbology were actually other lifeforms. Like her hero said, grass could feel being walked on. Everything that was alive can feel what happens to it. Karah took special care during herbology, but also began crying when she would cut into a plant - how awful it must have felt for them.
xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Txxx
- ■ Karah hated history - especially the history of planet Earth. If they could have studied the history of Naboo, Abagar, anything that wasn’t Earth that would have been preferred. History of magic? Well it wasn’t the history of any previously mentioned place and as such it just didn’t interest Karah and she didn’t retain any information.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Oxxx
- ■ Karah loved chemistry, seeing what would happen if one object was put into another, stir clockwise or counter clockwise. It was small experiments like this that made her thrive in potions exams - she knew things she absolutely should not do and things that made potions easier. She wasn’t great during actual potions class - she had caused many explosions, but the actual exam when it mattered? Fantastic.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Pxxx
- ■ If you weren’t being your true self then you couldn’t be trusted - nothing about transfiguration was trustworthy. Plus, why would you MAKE a kitten disappear, what kind of nonsense was that? Karah picked up the kitten and walked out the room saying “Tada the cat is gone!”

xxxGHOUL AND GHOST ~ EExxx
- ■ Karah really enjoyed this course, especially the exam when tehy were able to interview a ghost - she asked her ghost friend about Star Wars, it had just been released when they died. Karah didn’t do great on the written exam portion, but really had an enlightening conversation.
xxxMYTHOLOGY ~ Axxx
- ■ Mythology was really sad, they talked about the mythology of the wizarding world and never once talked about the reality of star wars. Of being a Jedi. Karah for her paper wrote about how the chamber of secrets was very similar to that one thing in star wars and how it wasn't a legend it was truth.
xxxANCIENT RUNES ~ Axxx
- ■ Karah had really hoped that Ancient Runes would help her touch base with her inner Jedi - an ancient religion. Overall, it usually just confused her though. She was able to say which creatures represented each Rune number, but she had mixed up 6 and 9 - and easy mistake honestly. During the written exam she had missed several questions, but come on, no one actually wrote in ancient runes it was useless.
xxxWANDLESS ~ Axxx
- ■ Karah had hoped that not using a wand would give her a better touch to instead use a light saber. Cast spells without the wand, but hold the light saber it would just be a cool experience. Turns out, Karah just wasn’t great at casting spells without a wand, or maybe she was too focused on using lumos in combination with another spell...xx
