What a truly interesting subject. Yarrick enjoyed watching the stars go by, letting her imagination run wild as she jot down her notes. It was one she liked studying for, spending many nights in the quiet, candlelit Astronomy Tower just enjoying the cosmos. When it came time to test, she didn't have to think too hard, just letting her knowledge shine.

Charms was pretty tricky for Yarrick, but the magic was endlessly helpful, so she studied hard. Even with her struggles in the class, her sheer knowledge on the subject came through, netting her a decent grade overall.
xxxxx⇾Defence Against the Dark Arts ~ {A}
Yikes. Defense was hard! Yarrick studied a lot to try and get the required marks, but it was just one she struggled with. Of course, she wasn't about to fail the class, and thanks to her dedication with studying, she managed to pass.... if only barely.
xxxxx⇾Herbology ~ {EE}
Yarrick never considered herself particularly skilled with plants, however, she did seem decent enough with plants of the magical variety. She did struggle a fair bit when it came to actually handling the plants, but her enjoyment of learning about them helped out a fair bit. She liked learning how the plants could be used, especially in potions. Plus the plants could be pretty cute.

While the subject matter could be pretty dry, Yarrick quite enjoyed learning the whens, wheres, whos, and hows of the magical world. It was fun setting them in timeline orders, watching their innovations play off one another. She studied a lot, doing extra work where she could. When she found out the OWL was only an essay, she got sad, wishing she could do even more to showcase her knowledge. Her essay ended up being three pages longer than needed.... and would’ve been longer if she hadn’t run out of time!

Another class that required dedication in studies, Yarrick quickly fell to love potions. She was incredibly precise with everything anyway, why not make it extra? Yarrick studied hard for the class, effectively memorizing many of the potions studied in class. Her attention to detail and pure precision helped push her toward the top of the class. When exams came around, she didn’t even need the written instructions to create a perfect potion.
xxxxx⇾Transfiguration ~ {A}
This one was tricky. Another requiring devotion.... yet it also required arithmetic. That was always her twin’s subject, not hers. Yarrick struggled a lot with the magic, but she did prove herself at least competent. It was difficult, but she did indeed pass when push came to shove.

What had possessed Yarrick to try her hand at Cursebreaking? She sure as heck didn’t know. It was certainly a challenge, yet it was one she figured out how to overcome. Ultimately, she wasn’t the best with the class, but she did well enough to net a pass overall.
xxxxx⇾Divination ~ {O}
Seers ran in the Knapp family, and though Yarrick hadn’t gotten the gene directly, she did show some of the latent skill. It was fascinating to learn to divine the future, especially with help of her younger sister. With study to learn what everything meant and how it all worked together, Yarrick effortlessly passed the class with high marks.
xxxxx⇾Ghoul and Ghost Studies ~ {O}
Of all the people in the school, Yarrick seemed to talk quietly to the spirits more than the humans. When the opportunity arose for her to actually get to study them, Yarrick didn’t hesitate to sign up. Thanks to her existing rapport with the ghosts, the class was a breeze. Her dedication paid off with a top grade on the exam.

Yarrick already knew the basics of music before she ever stepped foot into Hogwarts, so when she joined the class, she had a huge head start. She used the class to help learn the guitar, given her skill with her flute. When it came time to do the exam, Yarrick (wisely) picked the instrument she’d been playing since she was 8 and easily breezed the exam.

Another class that Yarrick had signed up for based on sounding “interesting”, the class proved to be everything of the sort. Her love of mythos and history paired well on the class, allowing her to combine everything for a flawless grade on the exam.
xxxxx⇾Study of Ancient Runes ~ {A}
Yarrick took runes out of an abundance of curiosity. She wasn’t the best with languages, but she did enjoy the historical components. She did study hard in the class, but it was one she simply wasn’t confident enough in. Yarrick tried and passed, though not with the best of marks.
xxxxx⇾Wandlore Studies ~ {O}
How interesting it is to learn more about something all witches and wizards had familiarity with. Yarrick enjoyed breaking wands down to their components and learning both personality and how their elements worked together to allow magic to flow. Even her own wand brought up some curiosities. She spent much of her fifth year asking her siblings to let her study their wands, then asking them to ask their friends as well. It was something of extracurricular work.
xxxxx⇾Wizard Law ~ {EE}
Yarrick did pretty well on her Law exam, if only through the paperwork and preparations she did. The biggest issue came to light when it became evident she couldn’t well argue points without getting nervous and just letting people speak for her. Her grade probably would have been lower, but the proctor was impressed with her notetaking and research skills.
