xxxxx✮ Wʜᴀᴛ's Iɴsɪᴅᴇ Mʏ Hᴇᴀᴅ? How did we not have a book club? Over the summer, Alice and Ella had been exchanging letters like they usually did, talking about books and the like. The two of them routinely hung out in the library together reading and discussing the books and they mutually came up with the idea that they ought to form a book club. As soon as Alice had the chance, she went to Ms Tamra in the library and asked her to sponsor the club for them, which she was more than happy to engage in. The blonde quickly made flyers advertising the new book club, expecting most of its members would be drawing from Ravenclaw House, but she was ready to be pleasantly surprised. The only preparation she'd have to do was to find a book for all of them to read and discuss. She first thought of picking her favorite book, Alice in Wonderland, but decided that she ought to put it up to a vote to pick which book they read. She also didn't want to foist one genre of book on everyone, so she designed a form to find out what everyone liked in their reading options. When students arrived to join the club, she had a form prepared with some of her self-inking quills prepared for them to fill out. On the day that they were to meet for club, Alice met Ella ahead of time and happily walked with her down to the library for them to host their club together. [b]Name:[/b]

Somehow, the letters and hushed discussions of books with Alice had turned into the two of them now running a book club at school. She'd helped Alice with the artwork for their fliers, then hung up the one in the Hufflepuff common room (with Alice taking Ravenclaw, Sebastian had Gryffindor, and they politely asked Prefect Csuri to hang up the one for Slytherin as well). Since it was the first meeting, Ella was a bit nervous. Part of her hoped only a few people would come along, but the bigger part wanted a nice turn out. As she walked to the library with Alice, Ella stood by nervously as she waited to see how things would go.

At least Aina found the library. She was a little miffed that Alice didn't wait for her but she knew her cousin was running around like a chicken without her head getting ready for things. It didn't take long for Ai to locate her cousin, with another girl that Aina put together was Ella, whom Alice said was one of her best friends. Alice hadn't said what book they were going to discuss, so she'd brought one of her own just in case they needed a book to read... then she kinda figured if they needed a book to read, they were in the library. Still a little out of breath, Aina walked over to Alice and sat beside them. "You won't believe how long it took me to find the Library," Aina signed, then grabbed one of Alice's sign in sheets and filled it out.

Csuri had actually been looking forward to the club created by the loud Ravenclaw and her silent Hufflepuff companion. The fact that there hadn't been a long-standing book club before was damn near a crime on its own. Since there wasn't a book pre-selected, Csuri carefully looked through the collection of books she'd brought along. If they wanted a good book, she had many recommendations. Hopefully, she figured, the book club would be nice and quiet with it being held in the library and all. ...well, maybe not quiet, because the head librarian had a laugh that could wake the dead, but oh well.
Walking into the library, Csuri was a bit grateful that it seemed quiet thus far. One of the first years was signing toward Alice, and Csuri remembered Professor Clarke pulling Abrams aside... probably for the same kid. Grabbing one of the sign-in forms, Csuri filled it out with her messy cursive, then offered it back to Alice. "Hey, thanks for hosting. There wasn't a specific book mentioned, so I just grabbed the start of the Vermillion series." It was one she was halfway through, but it was a nightmare to wait on the books to be released. Hopefully the new one appeared in shops while over winter holidays.

Seb had been relaxing outside, laying on a bench while the fall breeze danced in his messy hair. It wasn't until his watch beeped in his ear that he realized he'd dozed off in a half-crumpled position. Oh dang. Now... what was his alarm set for? Oh right! Today was Alice and Ella's new club! He'd already asked (about a million times) if it was really okay for him to join, but Alice promised that since he listened to the books, it'd be okay. So, he sat up and stretched, much to Zoot's chagrin. With a laugh, the teen lifted his cat onto his shoulders and headed inside.
After the short walk up to the library, Seb was glad to see a few people already there. He'd (accidentally, sorta) overheard Ella's worry to Alice that people might not come along. "Hi Liss! Hey Ells! Oh! And hi Aina too! And... hi Csuri." He added the last one in a bit of a hesitant tone, frowning when the Slytherin rolled her eyes so hard he figured she might see her own brain. Then he looked over at the forms and lifted one up before squinting at it. Dark green eyes looked over at Alice, subtly asking if she hadn't already filled out a form. Heck, Alice and Ella both knew he wasn't exactly good at writing.

Rebecca was excited to see a new flier hung up in the Ravenclaw common room. A book club was exactly what the school was missing. There was no way she was missing out on joining. What was one more club when she had three on her plate already. Grabbing her book bag, Becky headed down to the library Friday night. She was well versed in traversing the shelves there. It was her favourite place no doubt. Heading in, Becky was happy to see members of every house. Alynn saw the flyers making mention of a ‘Hogwarts Literary Society’, and figured it could be a fun way to make some friends. By the looks of it, it didn’t seem as though it met terribly often, and that was fine, as it would give him time to read, and it wouldn’t impose too much upon the time he had to keep up in his studies. Mum didn’t mind him joining clubs, but she warned him not to get in on too many of them, as they would get in the way of maintaining his grades.
Looking around, he saw that he wasn’t the only one there which was a good thing in his mind, as perhaps they could get into a rollicking good debate about the merits of whatever they chose to read. Alynn was rather hoping he wasn’t the only one present who appreciated the genres his father opened his eyes to.

Rey was looking forward to the start of the Literary Club ever since she first heard of it and that Ella and Alice would be co-running it. The little Second Year wanted to help support her friends, so, of course she would be there for the inaugural meeting of the club. When she was growing up she looked forward to the summer reading programmes the local library would sponsor, if nothing else, it was an escape from her situation at whatever home she was at. This past summer, she was busy enough with her new family that she hadn’t the time to partake of any such programme, though she wasn’t sure if there were any libraries within walking distance of the Heulwen household.
Sadly, when she was packed off to Hogwarts last year, her collection of books got reduced greatly, as she donated many of her to Holly, so her once-and-never-again foster younger sister would have something to remember her by, assuming the Men in the Black Coats didn’t delete those too. At her new home, Rey had a treasured antique Winnie the Pooh treasury book, signed by the author, one of the few heirlooms she had of her original home. Much of her remaining collection remained at her new home as well, so she really wouldn’t have much to trade or loan out.
Showing up at the location the club meetings was being held, and she saw there already a goodly number of people already there. Rey smiled as she went over to where Ella and Alice were, in the main area of the library. “Hey, everybody,” she said softly, as she took up a quill and started filling out the form:
