Vikram had gotten the idea in his head that a club of fellow adventurers like himself would be a good idea; after all, how many students enjoyed wandering the castle and grounds and wished they had someone else to do so with them. He'd approached the new groundskeeper, Obadiah Dalglish to sponsor the club, that way they could get inside pointers from the man who spent his time familiarizing himself with the grounds. Ready for a day of adventure, and after posting about a dozen notices in different places, Vik headed down to the clock tower courtyard. He had a notebook with him to keep notes of their trips and had a small stack of parchment that he'd set up for their sign in sheets. He weighed down the stack of parchment with a rock, then looked out of the courtyard, gazing out at the sun that was dropping towards the horizon as a cool breeze blew through, ruffling his hair. "Ah, yes... today is a good day for a hike," he said with a happy smile.

Seb was excited when he heard about a new club. Liv read him the bulletin board announcement, and the two agreed to go together. So after their other activities, the duo hurried out to the clocktower courtyard. There was so far only one other person, a Slytherin Seb was pretty sure was named Vikram. "Hi there! We're here for the club's very first day! I'm Seb and this is Liv! We're great explorers!" He greeted, an electric smile on his face.
He noticed a little stack of applications and immediately his expression turned a bit sour. Dang it! And Deccy still wasn't here to help! Green eyes looked over at Liv, pretty sure his friend knew he wasn't the best at writing stuff. He glanced back at the application, then over toward her once more, worriedly biting his lip. It seemed to work because she accepted the form and filled out two, presumably one for him and one for herself. "Thanks Liv. You're awesome." he said, voice quiet to try not to draw too much attention to his lack of abilities.

Olivia's attention had been drawn by Seb's practical squeal at the posting on the bulletin board, then he'd requested her to tell him what it said. She read out that it was a new club posting, about adventuring around the school, which truthfully was something she was interested in as well. The two had agreed to go down to the courtyard together since they were both interested in exploring the school. Anything to burn the excess energy of youth. As they walked into the courtyard, Liv spotted the only other person present and assumed the slightly older student to be the one in charge of the club. Seb indicated the small pile of applications and practically begged her to fill his out. She knew he wasn't illiterate, but there was something funky with his brain and, truthfully, she'd seen his penmanship and knew it was terrible. The brunette relented and filled his form out for him. "You know, Seb, I can introduce myself," she said with a smirk before handing him back his form before filling out hers. "But I was totally thinking about setting something like this up," she said, addressing this to Vikram.

When Persephone had heard about the Wanderlust Club she couldn't have been happier. It was like someone had tailormade a club just for her. Wandering was her favorite activity. She had spent many days in the woods behind her house just roaming, her only purpose was to see what she could find. The idea of having a whole club that (hopefully) thought the way she did about it was more than she could have hoped for. Now, she didn't even have to drag Archie with her. There were people actively volunteering! That thought caused a weird giggle to come up from somewhere inside of her as she stepped into the courtyard.
It was a nice day. Without a thought, Persephone spun around a few times, her blonde hair blowing behind her. Once she managed to calm herself she approached the few other people that had gathered. "Hi! I'm Persephone!" She announced as she grabbed a paper and began to fill it out. She felt like filling papers out was 90% of what she'd done since she'd started Hogwarts.

When some students began to enter the courtyard, Vikram drew in another breath and turned to greet the new members of the club. Of course the first two to show up were Gryffindors... Vik could have rolled his eyes, but he figured that adventuring was more of a Gryffindor trait than a Slytherin one. The Slytherin greeted the Gryffindors with a wave and was about to introduce himself when another student, a first year he recognized from the Sorting, joined them as well. "Hey, welcome all of you. Seb, Liv, Persephone... I'm Vikram, but you can call me Vik. Actually, I prefer that. I want to wait a few more minutes to see if anyone else is going to show up. Then I was figuring for our first meeting, we could take a walk down by the lake. We might even catch a glimpse of the mermaids." On more than one occasion, he'd seen them jump out of the water or drift close to shore, but they were not very friendly. Vik had also seen them come by the window in the Slytherin common room. As the weather got colder, he switch them over to exploring the castle instead of the grounds.

Vikram headed down to the Clock Tower Courtyard where the club met up to go on their adventures, carrying a small stack of parchment and a couple self-inking quills. He set them down on one of the ledges, then produced a fancy looking paperweight from his pocket to weigh them down. While he waited for the others to show up, Vikram climbed up the side of the walkway and perched on the roof that circled the walkway around the courtyard. It was a beautiful day outside and Vik planned to take his junior adventurers on a walk to a secluded beach he'd discovered during one of his swims. There was a little cave in the hillside and he'd explored inside a little bit. But the cave wasn't the allure of the beach; it was the solitude and the relaxation that the little beach provided. He wanted to share that nugget of serotonin he'd discovered with the friends he made during the club. Besides, it was nice to be outside while the weather was warm. Once it got colder, they were cooped up in the castle because no one would want to be out in the cold...

Bowtan made her way to the courtyard Saturday afternoon. She was looking forward to being outside at least while the weather was still nice. As such she decided to join the wanderlust Club, a club made for people who wanted to be active around the school. She’d been a member last year periodically and wanted to be a part of it more this year. It would be fun hanging out with other students. Joining Vikram in the courtyard, she was surprised to be the first one there. “Hey Vik, nice day to be outside. How’s things?” She greeted grabbing the form and filling it out. ‘Fun Fact…’ She had no idea what to put for this ever. Picking something at random Bowtan figured it would be enough.

Seb had a whole list of fun clubs this year. Sure, he'd been to all of them before, but that didn't make them less fun! Today was Wanderlust... at least according to Declan's writing of his schedule. The bulletin board posters were really hard to read! He made sure to grab his camera, promising to get some good pictures for both Daily Dragon... and mama's own curiosity. Pulling on a hoodie and giving Zoot a little extra love (and some cheesy chicken wet food!), Seb hurried outside. He wasn't sure where exactly he was supposed to go, given he may have forgotten to ask, but he figured he'd find it eventually.
It did take a while, but thanks to Vikram sitting on a roof, he located what was started of the group. "Hey guys! I'm glad I found ya before it got too late. I left early 'cause I couldn't remember where club was, but I couldn't find Declan to tell me, so I just kinda... pre-wandered." He laughed, happy as a clam until he noticed the sign in sheet. Rooting through his pocket, Seb found a half-chewed pen, then set to work. Biting the tip of his tongue, his eyes crossed a bit as he tried to read and keep the lines straight. It took probably way longer than anyone else, but eventually, Seb was able to set down a completed form. Perfect.
"There we go. How'd ya get up there anyway? Is there like a secret?" His curiosity was piqued, but with his normal level of clumsiness, the last thing Seb should ever do would be to climb anything, much less the side of a building!

The Wanderlust club, a hiking and adventuring group created by Slytherin's most adventurous student... none other than Vikram Bhattacharyya. The teen in question wandered on down to the Clock Tower Courtyard a little earlier than the appointed meeting time because he needed to find somewhere to wait for his adventurers. Last year he'd climbed up on the roof of the covered pathways but this year... he needed something different. He could try to climb onto the clock tower itself, but then the other students might try to follow him and... well, the responsible part of his mind said that was a bad idea. He settled for climbing onto the roof of the covered pathway again, since it was an easy climb and it anyone wanted to duplicate it, they easily could. Before he started his climb, he put down the signup sheets and weighed them down. Then he made the climb to wait for his students. He glanced up at the Astronomy Tower, the last of the towers he needed to conquer before graduating. This year... he thought to himself.

Wanderlust was a club Seb had quite been looking forward to. Don't tell Alice, but it was his favorite, now that he couldn't visit his actual favorite. He remembered that they'd met over by the clocktower last year, so he let his feet guide him there. Somehow, he was the first there? Oh, no wait... he turned his head a bit, grinning up when he spotted Vik sitting on top of the shortish roof. He'd done that last year too, but this time, Seb was determined to figure out his own way up. "Okay! I'm gonna get it this time, 'kay? It's there, then there, then up?" Without waiting for a confirmation, Seb took off in a short run, jumping and missing the handhold he'd spotted.
"Dangit! Hang on. Here?" He tried again, but even with the bit of help, he was back on his feet on the ground. There had to be something he was missing, right? Green eyes looked over the bricks and trellis, trying to find the places that would be best to grab for a climb.... now he just had to figure it out! Farts! How was Vik so good at this? Thankfully, the taller teen was there to help, and after a lot of "left, no, the other left" sorts of confusion, Seb figured out the best way up. Finally, after several minutes (and probably a bruised butt-bone), Seb had made it up on the roof to plop beside Vikram. Aha! Perfect!
The twins walked toward the Courtyard side by side toward what was at least Persephone's favorite club. She was fairly certain Archie enjoyed it too but there were things in that boy's brain that she couldn't always be sure of. Both of them had always been wanderers by nature. Many a day had been spent exploring the woods on the edge of their garden. Persephone had been glad that Hogwarts seemed to harbor like-minded souls. Some were even more climb-y than she was.
As if to confirm her thoughts the two came to a stop in the Clock Tower Courtyard and Persephone found her eyes traveling upward. There on top of the roof were both Vik and Seb. She shouldn't have been surprised, but somehow she still was. "Well, that's one way to get things started," she said putting her hands on her hips and eyeing the pair with a smile.
