Quote: Visual aid speech I chose these two poems because they have a lot to do with white people invading other peoples land. I think that the food and water are important in these poems because they don’t have much of it. In ‘not my business’ is has repetition when he is saying, “What business of mine is it”, He’s talking about the food that he has and he doesn’t want his food to be taken. In ‘blessing’ they get the water but they know that it will get taken from them. The structures of the poems are very different, in "not my business" it has a chorus that repeats then stops in the last stanza, which may represent he has been taken to “a waiting jeep”. In ‘blessing’ it has not got as much structure as “not my business”, but it does have a couple of rhyming words in the second stanza, other parts of the poem hasn’t got as many, it doesn’t have any rhythm to it… the syllables are all different too. The poem being less structured is like the silvery water that crashes to the ground” the water could symbolise money and wealth I feel sorry for the people in these poems as they have very little where as people like us have a lot more. These poems make me feel upset about all the poverty and racism in the world and English and American people, who think they can over rule less fortunate countries, this is one of the main causes of poverty and countries not even having enough water or food to last them a day
Thats my speech read it and tell me what you think Lol dont say its s**t please or im not reading it please tell me before tomorrow because i am seriously self-conscious about this sort of stuff... its about 2 poems and i have to compare them and show there differences and that.... i didnt really know what to write so please dont laugh at it
