Hmmm....today has been pretty uneventful. I was stuck in my Computer Science class for about 4 hours today. Good news was I had a fast computer for hours, bad news was I ran out of things to do on it, and my teacher gave us a dumb program to create to kill time.
It was some weird Wack-A-Mole wannabe simulator, and it's not that great. We were trying to improve it by adding mole pictures or shapes to help make it look somewhat decent, but she said it wouldn't work with shapes or image files. So basically we were stuck using dumb little button images, and it looks really stupid. It really bugs me when you can't add creativity to the mix when she plays by the rules so damn much and can't learn to think outside the box, when this kind of thing is supposed to be able to have a creative touch added to it.
So yeah, I had to deal with conformity in computers for four hours, then I went to Chemistry, and for 15 minutes because of the shortened period, and ended up watching the beginning of The Day After Tomorrow. I've seen it already, and it's not bad, but it's not a movie I could watch again without falling asleep, which is almost what I did. The basic concept is what we're doing to the world, and the effects of global warming and what it would do to us. I was kinda sad, cause Japan was like the first to go, then Scotland froze over, so like the South of U.S. and everything South of the equator was like the only livable spots left. It's more of a movie to scare you into doing something than a movie you can learn from.
Other than that, school was boring. Then, when I got home, my dad called and explained that he would be going out of town this weekend for something work-involved, and he'd be in San Diego. He also gave me a list of things to do, since he said that within a few weeks Kelly would be moving in. That was a bit of a shock to me, since I'm starting to think he's moving too fast with this. I've only seen her twice, and John has only met her once. I know my dad has been with her for a while, but it's like an almost stranger moving in with us. Ah, well. I'll just worry about it when it comes.
