ICHIGO KUROSAKI
With the one-of-a-kind ability of possessing spirit energy, Ichigo Kurosaki is just an ordinary high school boy. He exemplifies a strong sense of justice as he cares for both spirits and his family. When he's forced to choose between the life of a Soul Reaper and the death of his family he chooses to help Rukia tend to the souls of the dead.

RUKIA KUCHIKI
A Soul Reaper from the Soul Society. Rukia passes on her Soul Reaper abilities to Ichigo, who takes most of her power. Until they return, she must stay in the human world, showing Ichigo how to be a Soul Reaper.

ORIHIME INOUE
One of Ichigo's classmates, she has a wild imagination as well as distinctive palette for interesting food combinations. She lives alone; her only family, her brother, died three years ago in an accident.

URYU ISHIDA
The last member of the Quincy clan, human hunters of evil spirits, that died out over two hundred years ago. Uryu possess an incredible ability to detect and destroy Hollows, as well as a deep hatred for Soul Reapers. He is also skilled at needlepoint and belongs to the craftwork club.

YASUTORA "CHAD" SADO
Known to his fellow classmates simply as Chad, he's bigger than your average High School Student. Chad believes his only asset is his sheer size and has an affinity for small animals. No matter who tries to bully him, he refuses to fight back.
